Hi Fi
I didn't get much advice and what I have been given has been contradicted.
Alot of it seems to depend on when you had the stitch in. If you have it late you are more likely to have problems and the advice is different.
I was told not to bath, lift heavy objects, have sex or doing exercise for 4 weeks afterwards. Having seen the consultant since then he told me to do normal pregnancy things. The only thing he was funny about was unprotected intercourse which can bring on contractions. But his advice was do what feels right, if you do something that feels wrong don't do it again.
We have decided against having unprotected sex for the time being cos we'd both worry and not enjoy it. So my partner withdraws or we use condoms. Have had no problems so far at all.
As my consultant told me I could swim in a public pool I have also gone back to bathing as I can't see how that could be any worse.
I think its best to do what you are comfortable with and just watch out for anything that may seem unusual. I wouldn't take up horse riding or do any really vigorous exercise but that probably goes without saying.
Obviously I am no expert but its working for me. I hope this helps x
