"Showbiz" at The Baby Show

One of the most popular attractions of The Baby Show (22-24 October, Olympia, London) has to be its Information Workshops, hosted by Practical Parenting magazine, and the organisers have announced that the number of sessions is to increase from six to nine.

Covering all aspects of pregnancy and early parenting, the Information Workshops are free to visitors of The Baby Show and allow you to put your questions to the experts in an intimate environment and meet other people who may be experiencing the same worries and concerns as you.

For the London Baby Show, the Workshops have more of a showbiz element than ever before. As well as Dr. Miriam Stoppard, famous the world over for her no-nonsense approach to pregnancy and childcare, the Information Workshops have speakers from the Portland Hospital and Dr Gowri Motha. The Portland Hospital is well known as being a favourite amongst celebrity patrons including Victoria Beckham, Sarah Ferguson and Zoe Ball. Dr Gowri Motha, founder of the Gentle Birth Method, has been rumoured to have advised none other than Gwyneth Paltrow and Kate Moss.

The Workshop timetable also includes speakers from the NSPCC, National Childbirth Trust and St John's Ambulance. There's even a talk about the pros and cons of child modelling. To see a full timetable, click here.

The Baby Show in association with Practical Parenting magazine takes place 22 - 24 October 2004 at Olympia, London. As well as the Information Workshops, you find 1000s of pregnancy and nursery products and loads of fun stuff to keep your little ones happy.
