Search is on for most comfortable baby clothes
Tess Daly has launched Comfort Pure fabric conditioner's
new, nationwide search for the most comfortable baby and toddler clothes.
The celebrity yummy mummy, who has a 17 month old daughter,
Phoebe, heads army of mums from around the country who are helping to
track down the softest, most comfortable, but still durable baby clothes.
The mums, known as the Comfort-eers, were hand-picked from
a range of applicants at the beginning of the year and have all got at
least one child over six months old.
Tess, who is married to TV-star Vernon Kay, is delighted
to be part of the project.
"Comfort, style and price all come into play when you're
deciding what your little one will wear in the morning, but with so many
styles on offer it's difficult to know which products are the best and
will make your child feel comfortable.
"Hopefully, with the help of mums from around the country
we'll be able to help other parents decide which clothes are best for
their children."
The search will review a number of different styles, for
different ages and personalities across all seasons while at the same
time the project will also spearhead a fund-raising campaign to create
a new "Comfort Zone" at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).
Comfort Pure is guaranteeing to donate GOSH £75,000 towards a new "Comfort
Zone" in the GOSH Orthopaedic wing.
Opening in October, it will be a friendly, relaxing room for both child
patients and relatives staying at or visiting the hospital.
With light, airy décor, soft furnishings and toys, the Comfort Zone will
provide an ideal relaxation area away from the busy hospital wards.
Stephanie MacKenzie, of Comfort Pure says, "Comfort Pure understands
how important it is that babies and children wear clothes in fabrics and
styles that are comfortable to move around and sleep in.
"This nationwide search will produce a list of the best that baby
and children's wear has to offer.
"The fact that we're also raising money for Great Ormond Street
should be a big incentive for mums across the nation to share their experiences."
The Comfort-eers are based in locations ranging from the south coast
of England to Scotland and there are a limited number of spaces available
if you would like to become a Comfort-eer and get involved.
The ongoing results of the search between now and October will be posted
online at Comfort
Pure, which will be regularly updated with new findings from the Comfort-eers.
Parents up and down the UK are encouraged to log on to post their views
about the best in baby and toddler gear.
Clare Cook of Great Ormond Street says, "We see this as a fabulous opportunity
both to raise awareness of the hospital's work and create a relaxing area
for our child patients and their relatives.
"We are immensely grateful for Comfort Pure and Tess Daly for their
support at this exciting and challenging time at GOSH.
"We're currently raising money to redevelop two-thirds of the hospital
and they will help take us closer to this goal."
