A Haven of fun!

We had the pleasure of visiting Devon Cliffs, Exmouth. One of Haven's fantastic caravan parks.

On arrival it was obvious that the staff were second to none. We had the most friendly welcome, were shown on a map where our caravan was and given detailed information about what was available to us.

The caravan (Prestige) was absolutely beautiful with sea views and a balcony. It was very luxurious and had all the mod cons that we needed including heating throughout and an en-suite toilet to the main bedroom. There was loads of room and it was very clean and tidy.

Whilst we were there we had to try EVERYTHING! We enjoyed a round of Pitch and Put and swimming in the lovely indoor pool. (The outdoor pool was closed as it was out of season). We visited their amusement arcades every day, well the kids did! And Josh (age 3) loved the indoor soft play area. It was a great opportunity for me to get some peace and quiet and grab a glass of red wine whilst the children played nearby.

Devon Cliffs has it's own beach and whilst it's not easy to negotiate with a buggy (very steep hill) it's lovely when you get down there. It's a very wide, very clean beach and fantastic for kite flying and sand castle building!

The children's entertainment was very good although the Paws Club was a little subdued for Joshua, he'd have been much happier joining in with the older children as they seemed to be doing more exciting things.

There were lots of sporty classes for the children to take part in, these all cost a little bit extra, but well worth it. Jason (age 10) took part in a football tournament which he thoroughly enjoyed.

The evening club entertainment was very good with lots of fantastic entertainment for younger children but as always you need to turn up early to get a seat. It gets extremely crowded and very hot so it wasn't something I wanted to do every night.

There are lots of places to grab a take away on site, including a fantastic fish and chip shop and pizza place. So if you want, you don't need to cook all week! The on-site supermarket is very good and they also have a Starbucks Coffee House…who could want for more?

The highlight for me has got to have been the Spa Experience. They have a wonderful Spa at Devon Cliffs and it's perfect for busy mums who just need a few hours to themselves to unwind. I made full use of their sauna, jacuzzi, bucket shower and heated sun loungers. The view out across the coastline from the jacuzzi was heavenly. I then treated myself to a wonderful back massage and facial. Oh my goodness! I was very chilled out when I came back to the caravan after my morning away of pampering and remained that way for the rest of the day. Perfect

We didn't have the best weather (Easter) but that didn't' take away our enjoyment as this Park offered so much for me and the kids to do. I would highly recommend this Park to all families with young children you'll never have a dull moment.
