tantrum review

We had a fabulous day out in London, visiting the new salon for
little girls tantrum on the third floor at Hamleys.
Despite it being my birthday, it was Charlotte that ended up having
her hair, nails and make-up done!
We were greeted and welcomed by Monica from tantrum and she was
fabulous with Charlotte, who is 7 years old. She made her feel very
relaxed as Charlotte was a little anxious at first. But she was
soon chatting away to Monica and enjoyed picking her nail colour
and design. The seats were very comfortable and perfect for little
bottoms to sit at the bar.

They run films while you are being pampered and we were lucky to
watch Mamma Mia, which is a favourite of ours and we sang along
to the songs while Charlotte had her hair done.
Charlotte did get a little "bored" while Monica did the
curls, but not more than when I do it. But Monica was quick to engage
with her again and kept chatting about what our plans where for
the day and she seemed geniunely interested about us. It is hard
to see on the picture but we also have pink glitter sprinkled over
her hair which looked beautiful.
All the girls that worked at tantrum were friendly and engaging
and it must be a heavenly place to work. I loved the outfits that
the girls wore, the butterfly wings and tiaras showed a real enthusiasm
for their job.

Charlotte really enjoyed her trip to London and showed her nails
to everyone on the train. She was desperate to keep them for painted
for school, but sadly we had to remove the polish. We even managed
to leave Hamleys without remortgaging the house, I am not sure how
I did that! We did buy the nail kit though and look forward to playing
at home with the colours.
It is really a lovely place to visit and little girls, everywhere
will love it.

About tantrum
Hair styling has never been so fun - even parents will want to stomp
their feet when it’s time to leave tantrum’s new space on Hamleys’ third
floor. The girls may have their hair styled, nails decorated and light
make up or a touch of glitter applied, should mummy agree.
tantrum, the UK’s first dedicated hair salon for children - which opened
its flagship
store on Kings Road last year to rave reviews – launched the fun-filled
space dedicated to girls in the world’s most famous toy shop in July,
this year. Offering everything from bunches styling (£10), through to
the ultimate ‘Hamleys Sleepover’ party package (£4,500), each and every
visit to tantrum is truly memorable, making it an ideal destination for
a birthday celebration, fit for a princess.
