Lovely family hotel set atop the cliffs between Newquay and Padstow with
ocean and country views and one of Europe's finest stretches of golden
sand beaches just five minutes away. Sands has a modern relaxed atmosphere
where children are truly welcome. Guests at Sands must have children,
so naturally everything possible is done to make babies and children
welcome. An organised entertainment programme for children allows parents
free time to make use of the many sport and leisure facilities on site.
Accommodation
Every suite has a separate children's sleeping area, a sitting area, a
chill box to keep your drinks cool, kettle, TV, phone with modem socket
and baby listening device. Superior suites have the addition of King size
beds, wide screen TV, Sony Playstation2, microwave, room safe, iron &
board and DVD player in the children's area. Apartment suites include
a lounge.
Facilities
Set in 6 acres of grounds, spacious public rooms and surrounded by beaches
and countryside, there is plenty to do. The gardens have seating areas
near each of the play areas where parents can sit and relax whilst the
children play. Complimentary sports include squash, tennis, 9 holes par
3 golf, croquet, football, basketball, heated pools, gym, free spa and
sauna..The hotel's "Surf Shack" offers hire of wetsuits and surf boards
for all ages and can arrange surf lessons.The hotel also offers a range
of adventure sports run by local operators including, surfing, bodyboarding,
powerkiting, cycling, horseriding and abseiling.
For children there are seven play areas for different ages and a maze
where children can use their imaginations and energy, plus children's
activities. The Nippers Club is for 0-2 year olds, the Pirates for 2-3
year olds, the Adventure Club for 4-7 year olds and The O-zone club for
ages 8-12 (pre-booking is advised). Baby equipment can be pre-booked.
