With breathtaking views across the Camel Estuary towards Padstow,
the St Enodoc Hotel is quietly tucked away in Rock on Cornwall’s rugged
north coast. In front is the estuary that becomes a summertime mecca for
sailing and water sports. Behind lies the undulating landscape of the
St Enodoc Golf Club with its two challenging links courses. Round the
corner, separated by sandy beaches and rocky coves is Polzeath, where
even the most timid would-be surfer can make their debut.
Accommodation
There are 16 double rooms and 4 family suites. All have ensuite bathrooms.
The 4 family suites anticipate family needs.They are self contained and
provide fridge for baby food storage, microwave for bottle warming and
wooden bunkbeds. Many of the double rooms take additional cots or Z beds.
Facilities
The hotel has an outdoor heated swimming pool (open May –September) a
billiard room, sauna and gym, a well equipped childrens playroom and a
small quiet library.
Nearby
The hotel provides a great base from which to discover unmissable parts
of Cornwall. Padstow, an ancient fishing port and only a 5 minute ferry
trip across the estuary, is full of shops, restaurants, and art galleries.
National Trust houses like Pencarrow and Lanhydrock are approximately
a 30 minute drive. Other well known Cornish attractions include the Eden
Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan; the art galleries of West Cornwall
such as Tate St Ives and the Barbara Hepworth Museum and the Minack Theatre
where open air productions are staged on a Cornish cliff top.
For Children
The children's playroom is equipped with table tennis, TV and video,
table football and the outdoor pool is great for water play in the summer
months. In the 4 family suites, there are useful extras such as microwaves
for bottle warming and fridges for baby food storage. Most of the double
rooms can take additional z-beds or cots. At night, a communal children's
tea is available and they offer the parents a baby listening (if required),
or, given notice, we can arrange a babysitter. Close by are a range of
child friendly activities such as surfing, rock pooling, banana boating
and off road cycling tracks to mention a few.
Price band
Suite with double room, sitting room, sitting room, childrens bedroom
and bathroom, including breakfast ranges from £140 (Off season)
to £305 (Peak Season).
