Great for daytime naps

Parent Panel review by Hannah - review date 12 November 2008
The idea of this blanket really intrigued me. My daughter likes to sleep on her side, so when she rolled onto her side, the blanket didn't really stay in place. I think this maybe resolved if the blanket was slightly bigger. I found the blanket really useful for when she fell asleep in either her car seat or buggy. I could put it over her, and unlike other blankets, it stayed in place superbly. Whether it helps settle a baby, I'm really not sure on this one at all.

Best Feature: Stays in place well when used on a pushchair/car seat
Worst Feature: Too small
Verdict: Best suited for daytime naps

"Not convinced"
The blanket claims to help settle your baby as the weights help to make your baby think it is being hugged.

The idea is a good one but it didn't settle Noah at all, almost the opposite - he kicked it off everytime I put it on top of him.

The blanket is very small in length and a major downside is that it doesn't have a tog rating. So even if it did work it would put me off using it at night on top of my son's sleeping bag as I'd worry about him overheating.

"Can't quite believe it......"
My 4 month old had been sleeping 10 hour nights from 14 weeks when a cold and final vaccines upset the routine at about 16 weeks and I was back to 1am and 4am feeds, absolute killer having got used to all night sleeping again!!

I received the blanket about 9 days ago and was intrigued by the information and the logic made sense to me but I remained sceptical (and overtired). The first night I used it she still woke at 4am but not 1am, which she had been doing the nights before, but when I went through she had kicked off the blanket. Night 2 I covered her with the blanket and then tucked her tightly in with a larger blanket on top.......

She slept right through until 7am and again the next night and again the next night, in fact ever since!!!

It could just be coincidence but I am convinced and I tried 1 night without it just to see and she woke at 4am.

The only very small downside that I would mention is that it is quite small so another blanket is needed on top but I expect that, that is for safety reasons and it is not really worth mentioning.

Love it, love it, love it...
