Great niche product

The Aqua alert water safety alarm is a great concept for non-swimmers who like to be able to wander independently as it provides reassurance when around water.
The child-resistant catch to prevent little ones removing the alarm is a great feature (although instructions on opening it to enable fitting would have been useful!). The main design flaw we found was the size of the alarm - it is quite bulky and our 18 month old really didn't like wearing it (although I imagine it would be moe comfortable for older children).
The alarm was quite sensitive and we found that a few drops splashed onto the wristband whilst playing by the pool set off the alarm (scaring most children nearby)! Turning off the alarm once activated proved to be quite difficult requiring removal of the batteries.
Overall, a great product in the right environment.

"Reassuring for parents!"
We recently used this product on holiday, and it was very reassuring around the pool for a paranoid parent like me! There was a large pool area where we stayed and our son was 21 months old so wanted a little freedom to toddle about and knowing he had the Aqua Alarm on gave us lots of reassurance.
It was rather chunky on his wrist though and sometimes took a bot of coaxing to get him to keep it on! Once on it seemed comfortable, didn't leave any marks or anything and secured on easily.
I think at £9.99 though it is a very useful product to put your mind at rest round the poolside.
We didn't hear the alarm sound when it was in "real use" as such but when we tested it, it was rather loud!
All in all, definitely worth having.

"A reasonably priced and reassuring product"
We recently stayed in a villa with a lovely pool with some friends and really wanted some added security for the kiddies round the water. At £9.99, this looked like a great product for the job. The band is quite large for a 2 year old but was fine for my 5 year old. He was happy to wear it although whether every child would be happy to wear quite a large wristband from morning to night i'm not sure.
Luckily we didn't have to put our baywatch skills into action but when we did test it it gave a reasonably loud alarm. I think for the price it is a great product if your little one isn't a strong swimmer and you want the extra reassurance round the pool.
