"Love it!"
After giving Evie the same plastic bowls and plates as her elder brothers I thought it was time to invest in some of her own! I haven't been disappointed! I love the fact the Salmon luke bowls do not slip making it alot easier for her to eat. It also doesn't encourage her to push and pick up her bowl/plate making alot less mess. Evie held the cutlery alot better than she would normally and found it easy to scoop her food up with the spoon and even managed to use her fork too. She has in the space of a week or so become even more of an independent eater! I have been very impressed with this, so much so I am about to order some more!

"Waste of time"
Oh I didn't like this at all coz its expensive for a bowl and plastic spoons and my daughter didn't really like it she still made spills. It is like another fad to make money of parents and it also showed a crack after washin it only twice

"Not for me"
I ordered this although I knew I shouldn't have because it is expensive for what is just a bowl and some cutlery - also it is just made out of plastic. Nevertheless I thought I would make my life a bit easier.

I think some of the reviewers are right that it looks like a pet food bowl! I didn't really like giving my kids food in it because it just reminded me of feeding the cats.

The idea behind it is simple enough - the edges are scooped up so that its easier for a toddler to get to the food.

I noticed that is had quite a strong plastic smell which wasn't very appealing and my daughter hated it and refused to use it because it made her feel sick.

My son liked it but I realised that it didnt make a huge difference in terms of spillage - there was still mess, and I didn't want him to become reliant of a special bowl so I took it away in the end.

Overall I wouldn't buy it again because for what it is, it is very overpriced and I don't think this is an area where parents should be lazy - its not like your kids will be eating from these bowls once they get to school so its important they learn to eat from proper bowls and plates.

"Gimmicky and flimsy"
When I first got this I thought it looked a lot like a dog bowl - which isn't very appetising! However I didn't mind as long as it worked. The sides, in my case did not really prevent the food from being flung over - if you have a toddler determined to throw food around they will.

Also, after two washes there was a crack on the bottom of the bowl, similar to a hairline fracture. Tried to get an exchange but told this was not a real fault.

The best thing is tha this bowl does not slip - however a 99p mat would work just as well.

I really think that a normal bowl, spoon and mat is fine. For the price it is yet another thing, in my opinion, to try and wean your child off. I'd rather spend a bit of quality time helping them with a normal bowl to save the agro of them always needing to use a special shaped bowl - I refuse to take this bowl restuarant! Fussy tools = fussy kids.

"The only bowl you'll ever need, you don't realise how good it is until you have to use an ordinary bowl"
This really is the only bowl you'll ever need.

You don't realise how good it is until you have to use an ordinary bowl.

My daughter has been self feeding with this set from 11 months and loves it. She gets excited when she sees the bowl and really enjoys eating from it.

The design of the bowl easily pushes food onto the spoon and fork which means more food in the mouth and less on the floor.

We used this on holiday as well and the anti bacterial properties of the set gave us peace of mind.

I highly recommend this bowl.

"Works very well but is expensive"
The bowl is an ingenious shape that makes sure food doesn't spill off the edges too easily and helps little ones load up their spoon. It really works. My son was a little old to 'need' it but enjoyed using it all the same. My daughter was a little too young but the few spoonfuls she managed to get food on were very successful. The spoon and fork fit the bowl perfectly and have a shaped handle to ensure they are held properly. It is an excellent product for babies that want to do it themselves but lack the ability!

There were some downsides to the tableware, though none that affected it's performance. I thought that it looked quite cheap and it reminded me a lot of a cat bowl. I felt that it was very expensive for a bowl, spoon and fork. It is dishwasher safe but the shape of the bowl is annoying as water pools in the back of it in the dishwasher. A few small holes in the rim would have prevented that. It is also slightly stained from the tomato based meals we ate.

On the whole though it does what it says it does! The company are also very thoughtful about ethics and environment which is a bonus.

"We like this"
My daughter tested this bowl and cutlery. I think she is a little old for it, but it didn't deter her, she loves it and has been refusing to eat from anything else!

The bowl has a non slip base which is great for keeping it on the table, the corners help little ones get their food onto the cutlery, and the lip really helps stop food from going over the side of the bowl and onto the table.

The bowl is able to be used in the microwave and dishwasher, although ours has had to be handwashed somedays if it wasn't going to be clean in time for the next meal!

I would definately buy a blue one for my son!

"superb"
The bowl is shamrock shaped, and the sides are shaped to help food fall back onto the spoon or fork. The spoon and fork are by far the easiesst I have found for my little boy to use. Before this he got fed up with the cutlery and threw them away. Now he gets through most of his meal - no less messy though!

"Handy new bowl"
My son has just mastered how to use a spoon and bowl but with a normal bowl the last few mouthfuls of food are chased endlessly round and round. But no more...The Salmon Luke bowl has a non slip grip that keeps it firmly on the table, is curved on the inside and has three corners which means that those last few tricky spoonfuls are easily scooped up. The fact that the bowl stays on the table means that I can leave him to eat by himself so I get to eat my food whilst it's still hot!

The only downside is that he isn't quite big enough to reach all three corners so I have turn the bowl round every few minutes.
