Perfect for twins!

Parent Panel review by Lisa - review date 30 January 2008
When looking for a pushchair for our twins, which would be suitable from birth, we opted for the Maclaren twin techno and weren't disappointed. The twins arrived 6 weeks early, yet made their first voyage out in the pushchair as soon as they came out of hospital two weeks later. The cosy footmuff meant that in spite of their tiny size, they were well protected and warm and the fully reclining seats allowed me to walk for hours with them - a godsend in those early days!! As they got older I loved the fact that I could recline one seat if one baby was sleeping, but leave the other more upright. When shopping the width of the Twin Techno was great and I was able to get through most shop doorways easily. The steering was light too and I found the pushchair much more manoeuverable than friend's tandem pushchairs that I had tried. Also as the twins got older, if we were out and about or on holiday, I could easily feed them in their pushchair, something that would have been impossible if we'd opted for a tandem buggy. Folding and unfolding the buggy was simple and painless, once I'd got it mastered and for a twin buggy it folded down relatively compactly.
All in all I felt the Maclaren Twin Techno was great value for money (head huggers, footmuffs and raincover included in an already reasonable price) and would recommend it to all those embarking on the joys of twins!!

Best Feature: Lightweight and manoeuverable.
Worst Feature: Got a bit rickety as the children got older.
Verdict: A great, practical all rounder.
