Halal Baby food

Available from www.halalbabyfoods.com, price £8.95 for a pack of 12 jars

Delicously simple

Parent Panel review by Lara - review date 30 November 2007
I thought this range was really plain when I first laid eyes on it in Sainsburys. The flavours seem quite dull and un-inspiring but....my daughter loved it!

She tried the wholemeal rice and chicken and ate it quicker than she's ever eaten anything before. A couple of days later she tried the Pasta and Lamb with the peach and strawberry for desert and again, ate each and every last mouthful.

As a group, we thought the range could do with extending as some of the babies weren't keen on the meat offerings. We also thought the packaging was a little plain, though it is very convenient to heat and prepare so great if you have a very hungry baby demanding lunch!

Overall, I think this range is worth a look-in. It's also great value for money with a pack of 12 mix and match jars at just £11.65. The creamed porridge was a big hit with the smaller babies who preferred it over most of the other deserts we tried.

Well worth a shot

"Good choice for weaning stage"
My daughter really liked the purees, particularly the creamed porridge and lamb with spinach.

I think the prices are great - 12 weaning jars for £8.95 is great value for money.

Highly recommended.
