Elastic protectors to keep little socks on little feet

A simple solution to an everyday problem

Parent Panel review by Clara - review date 10 April 2007
These little elastics keep babies' socks on so you can choose your outfits more freely, not having to worry about socks dropping off. A determined baby with a prolonged period to focus on removing socks will still manage, but they are no longer dropped off with a quick flick of the ankle. I can put socks on at 9am and still see them secured at 2pm now. I no longer have to walk along the road checking her feet!

Best Feature: Do the job
Worst Feature: No white colour

"Great until the washing machine ate one!"
Sock Ons are a genius little invention that slip on over your little one's socks and keep them from falling off. I will admit, I failed to see how they would work, but work they did. For all the time Mr A was wearing the Sock Ons, his socks never once fell off.

The Sock Ons are edged with thread which, while it gives them a rather funky effect, did start to fray a little with use. I thought the thread would unravel once they'd gone through the washing machine but it stayed firm. It did make the Sock Ons look a little ratty after a while but it didn't affect their function.

It'll only take around five pairs of socks to spend the equivalent in replacements.

"Not useful for active baby"
I bought them when my daughter was about 8/9 month old and she managed to kick them off within seconds!

"Great product, very useful!"
Evie has had these on all day. They have worked brilliantly, her socks are still firmly on! I have plain white ones, they do look slightly odd, fine if your baby had plain white socks on but weird if not! I would be willing to pay £2.99 but definitely not anymore than that?

I think these are a great product for the days when you don't want your little one to wear shoes but want to keep their feet warm!

"good idea but not 1000% successful"
These are a great idea and they nearly work. They extend the time that socks stay on but only by a little, we find we tend to loose the sockons or the sockons and the socks together instead.
