The sound quality on this monitor was excellent, and the lights go up and down depending on the noise baby is making. It was very sensitive which I found very reassuring, and there was no problem of any other interference. The volume control meant that I could still 'see' if he was crying and still turn the volume lower.

The best thing about it was the temperature display as I was able to check that I wasn't overheating the little man! I also thought the 100 metre range suited us as it covered the distance round the house easily. I didn't feel that I needed to use the nightlight as it was still quite dull even though it was possible to adjust it, it didn't make much difference.

Overall, I thought this was a sound purchase as the instructions were clear, was very easy to set up and even easier to use! I think it would last the distance if I did decide on another addition to the family. I would recommend this if you wanted a little extra from your monitor and would make use of the temperature display and light.

This monitor has given me peace of mind as I know that wherever I am in the house, being portable, I always feel that I am close at hand if he needs me!!

Best Feature: Temperature display
Worst Feature: None for me
Verdict: A great quality monitor

"Very disappointing"
I had two major problems with this monitor and hated it - I sent it back after a week.

1) I had a lot of signal problems with this monitor; every time anything else in the same room was switched on, eg a toothbrush charger or an electric shaver, the signal would completely drop out. This is indicated by a very loud annoying continual beep and you have to put the two sets next to each other and re-set them. This would be fine if it was once in a while, but the signal would drop out about 5 times a day. When I called the Tommee Tippee helpline, they said it was a common problem.

2) The second major issue was that you can only use non-rechargeable batteries in the parent unit, and they only last 6 hours. So if you want the parent unit in the kitchen for the day rather than the lounge, you are going to have to go out and buy 4 new AAA batteries to put in the unit. The unit does not charge the batteries when you place the parent unit in the stand, so there is no option other than to go through lots of batteries....and the battery compartment was very fiddly to open; you have to use a screwdriver to do it.

I sent these monitors back and instead bought the BT Baby Monitor 150 from Mothercare which are fantastic...I would definitely not buy the Tommee Tippee monitors again, not recommend them.
