What's it all about? Harriet Sharkey's `Need to Know? Pregnancy,' book is a helpful guide to pregnancy, broken down into three main sections: Your lifestyle, diet, health and work during pregnancy; Your options with conventional medicine, complimentary treatments and how to combine them, and lastly, Overcoming common problems in pregnancy and labour, providing advice and practical tips for all soon-to-be parents.

Presentation: The book is presented in an easy reference format, allowing the reader to specifically reference any information needed. The book provides a helpful week-by-week guide to your pregnancy along with more detailed sections discussing labour and birth. The book also contains many useful diagrams and illustrations for the reader.

The Good Points: For a valuable source of easy to read information then this book is perfect. All of the information allows the reader to make important, informed decisions during their pregnancy without becoming lost or confused amid too much jargon.

The Bad Points: It's hard to find anything bad about this, although the week-by-week guide to pregnancy could have been a little more comprehensive, especially for first time mothers not knowing what to really expect as their pregnancy continues.

Best Feature: Lots of detailed sections
Worst Feature: The week by week guide - although a great source of info - could've been more detailed
Verdict: A really good source of info that both pregnant mums and dads to eb will benefit from
