"Practical & Stylish"
I love this sling, it is my 3rd sling having tried the usual front carriers all of which I felt were not particularly comfortable for baby or me.

The Tikamak from Redcastle is soft, snuggly and especially great for a newborn as it alows you to carry them as if being cradled in your arms.

I always get smiles from people when ??I am out and about as the baby is so content and peeks out in such a cute way.

I would definately recommend to others.

"Different to the norm!"
Very easy to put on, over one shoulder. The straps can be adjusted, but very tricky. The strap tends to twist within the clip, rather like a car seatbelt does sometimes. The instructions are fairly simple; however, the diagrams that the manual refers to are actually on the box (don’t throw it away!!) I had to sit down to put baby in, legs and yards of material everywhere.

The manual suggests the carrier offers various positions; however, this depends on the size of your baby. My 5 month old was very cramped in the “lying down as if cradled in a hammock position” The only position that suited us was straddled on the hip. I still felt that I needed to offer the support of my hand under his bottom as he seemed to lean backwards, even after numerous adjustments! I would not use this carrier everyday. It is quite bulky with lots of material without straps or buckles to keep it together, it tends to get in the way!

There are no special features with this product, apart from the breastfeeding position. But, again, you have to have baby in the hammock position (not suited to my baby) and make sure you wear an easily accessible top.

There was a lot of strain put on the neck, probably due to my heavy baby. He seemed comfortable, but I needed to get the carrier off. The VERY large buckle rode up off my shoulder and sat on the side of my neck. Although there is a foam pad attached to stop the clip digging in, it was still extremely uncomfortable. The carrier is machine washable, handy if baby dribbles etc. The style is catchy to the eye as it is “different to the norm”

There are no special features offered with this product. I do think it would last longer than one baby, but do not feel confident with the one clip holding baby in place. I felt that I was offering more support by holding underneath my son’s bottom than that which the carrier gave.

My initial thoughts were that this carrier was of high quality. The material is substantial and would probably withstand many washes.

I did not feel comfortable wearing this carrier for longer than 20 minutes. It is also almost impossible to wear a jacket/coat on the outside of this carrier!

"I liked this one"
This is a trendy and stylish baby carrier that allows you to carry your baby in a variety of different positions.

The material is of a nice quality and it is so easy to put on and take off - much easier than fiddling around with straps and weird-looking harnesses.

There are certain positions that are more comfortable than others but you can pretty much use any of them with ease. You can also use it as a support for babies as they get older - especially if they dislike walking or their buggy!

"A good idea"
I enjoyed using the Red Castle Tikamak baby carrier - it is made from soft, high quality material and allows you rbbay to lie in a variety of different positions - including flat for breastfeeding.

I have to say I found it a bit restricting in certain positions and it definitely felt better on my front or slightly to the side. I can imagine it would be a fantastic choice for newborns though - it cocoons them inside the material and is very cosy.

A wonderful carrier with some great features - but not for everyone.
