"Lovely quality shirt with a price-tag to match"
Wow. From the moment you open the box for this shirt, it oozes quality.
Aptly, I got a pink shirt from Pink. Normally, I'm not a pink person but this shirt ended my reservations. It is a lovely colour with a subtle stripe. I am normally a size 12-14 and I got the size 14 shirt. The fit was fantastic, shaped perfectly to make your bump look stylish (unlike so many other maternity clothes!). It fitted nicely in all the right places and was really comfortable to wear.
This shirt is an essential item in the business woman's wardrobe, yet would not look out of place dressed with jeans as a more casual shirt. If you are used to paying this amount for a shirt, you will not be disappointed.
The fabric feels soft and looks really good quality. It washed beautifully and ironed well.
Overall I could not fault the shirt but would personally have reservations at spending that amount on one item. I love it and feel a million dollars wearing it.

"Good quality shirt for working mums."
Upon receipt of this item I was delighted. The presentation of the packaging and the shirt itself had an expensive appearance. The shirt is white with thin black vertical stripes and white buttons. It is a fitted shirt with large collars and cuffs.
I like the fact that this shirt accentuates your bump making you proud to be pregnant!
I work in an office so wore this item with black maternity trousers. Many people commplimented me on my outfit asking where it was purchased. I felt extremely professional.
When first worn the shirt felt crisp and slightly stiff but washed very well and is now far more comfortable to wear. I only had to use a cool iron and found the creases around the bump area far easier to decrease than i expected.
My only critisism would be that the bottom of the shirt tended to turn up due to me sitting down and as I was unlikely to tuck the shirt into my trousers it remained this way until next washed. I also found that although my pre-pregnancy size was a 12 my breasts seem to be growing out of control therefore not quite fitting into the shirt, but I overcame that by leaving a couple of buttons open and wearing a vest underneath.
Overall this shirt has a great feel and was very comfortable. I felt professional and pleased to show off my growing bump. I would recommend this item.
The cost of the shirt is rather extravagant but compared to the quality of cheaper items purchased it is worth paying the extra for.
This is perfect for the office but I also found it looks great with jeans and boots.

"Smart Shirt from Thomas Pink"
Quality oozes from this shirt the minute you open the Thomas Pink box! It was black with white stripes and from the moment you put it on you feel you're wearing something expensive ! (more on that later!!).
It felt smooth and crisp when first worn and with it's smart large, sharp collar and matching cuffs, this shirt is particularly suited to days in the office but works equally well with jeans/denim skirt.
As my professional days are a little way behind me now (!), I teamed this shirt up with some three quarter length jeans and a wide red belt, sitting just below my protruding bump and felt really smart! The material contains elastane and there is some very flattering gathering which sits beautifully round your bump.
My only criticisms about the design would be that the smart collar is one of those that begs to be folded down over your jacket, but because the collar is quite thick it doesn't do this comfortably, and can end up sticking up.
Also, we pregnant women would not be tucking the shirt in, and after sitting for a while the material at the hem of the shirt does crease a bit.
Size-wise it fitted well. I am a 10-12 and the 12 was amply comfortable over my 28wk bump without being obviously large. No gaping around the buttons either!
The shirt washed well and only needed a low setting to iron. To be honest, ironing the gathered part of the shirt filled me with dread (not a big ironing fan). It wasn't too bad if a little awkward.
My conclusions are that this is a quality shirt which makes you feel well dressed; perfect in an office environment but even when I was earning a good wage, I would have been reluctant to spend £79 on it.
I find that when I'm pregnant, it's so easy to end up rotating the same items of clothing particularly for the last few months. I think variety in your pregnancy clothing can help you feel a bit more 'human' (!) and at £79, as much as I liked the shirt, I wouldn't buy it, preferring to purchase several items for the cost involved instead.....

"A good option - if you can afford it!"
This shirt would be great for a mum-to-be who is bringing in a decent wage. It's unfussy but feminine enough with a nice tie detail at the back. I like the fact that it doesn't attempt to hide the bump and the tie would allow for growth as your pregnancy progresses.
As with all tops that tie at the back, I think it is more suitable for later stage pregnancy because if you tie it too tight you can get an untidy buckling at the back.
The blue/pink option is very pretty and would go with most colours.
The sizing is sensible as well, I am normally a size 12/14 on top and the 12 fitted perfectly without any button gaping.
Because of it's qulaity it was very comfortable to wear and the cuff detail made it look like the quality shirt it is. But quality comes at a fairly heavy price. If you're used to buying Thomas Pink shirts then you won't mind the price tag, and you would definitely get a lot of wear out of it throughout preganany. But now that I'm an impoverished part time worker, I wouldn't be able to afford this. Which is a shame because it would be just as suitable to wear with jeans for everyday wear as it would be with smart clothes for the office.
It washed well and (apart from the cuffs which are always a pain on smart shirts) was easy to iron - even the little tie straps.
Other than the price perhaps my only niggle was that it could have been a bit longer. I'm not a great fan of anyone seeing the 'pouch' detail on maternity trousers and if I reached up for anything whilst wearing the shirt, the not-so-attractive waistband of my trousers would peek out. Not a major issue and I'm sure this wouldn't happen with many body shapes, but something I noticed nonetheless.
All-in-all a very good quality shirt, that makes the most of your bump, comfortable to wear but not so comfortable on your purse.
