"Unlikely to be BTP for most!"
I LOVED this nappy when i first bought it. My son was about 6 months old and i had used prefolds up until then and thought i'd try a BTP nappy. This nappy was the answer and i fell in love with it!

however, by the time my son was 18 months old he had all but outgrown this nappy. he is very slim for his age and a bit above average height. I found this nappy low on the rise and difficult to fasten as a result. unfortunately i had to sell my stash on and invest in size 2 nappies.

for people looking to invest in a system that will see them through to potty training, i would steer clear. the nappies themselves are FAB but the likelihood is that they won't fit til potty training for many children.

"diveded"
I really like the wrap and it has become one of my favourites it has kept everything in and I have not had a single leak with it. I am not very keen on the nappy itself it does have good absorbancy and looks very comfortable but I did not find that it had a good fit and with too many poppers it is not very easy to use.

They are very well made nappies and I think they are well suited to people who like poppers

"Not the best!"
This is a cute cotton nappy that fastens with poppers. It was a good fit on my average sized 15 month old, however I can't imagine it fitting him well by the time he is old enough to potty train!

It seems well made and is soft and washes and dries really well.

I was disappointed to find that it was not very absorbant at all. We have not managed more than 2 hours in it and it really needs changing before then as it comes off soaking wet!! The wrap is great, however and contains everything pretty well.

I didn't think that these were very good value for money. They are one of the more expensive nappies, but you would need a fair few of them if you were changing every hour or 2!!!

"Bulky"
*Ease of Use – The nappy has popper fastening which is my choice of fastener anyway and so is very adjustable. For birth to about 2 months (depending on baby size) you can fold down the front of the nappy which means that it will fit them better, you can also remove the booster. The wrap does have the leg gussets which make it fit quite well, but the Velcro fastening does not suit my baby and so was not as well fitting as it could have been. Also the wrap doesn’t look very big and will certainly not outlast the nappy in the ‘birth to potty’ scenario so you are going to have to buy sized wraps anyway.

*Absorbency – The nappy is short terry towelling and so the absorbency is not as good as some of the other terry nappies I have tried, hence I felt the need to change the nappy more often. With more washes the absorbency got better, but still not quite as good as some of the others.

*Comfort – The nappy was nice and soft but I hate the feel of the wrap as it has the ‘fingernails down chalkboard’ feel and they are only in boring white!

*Fit – I found that it was very wide between his legs and so he looked really silly with his legs permanently spread!

*Drying time / washability – The nappies take about a day to dry which is longer than I would like although nowhere near as long as the bamboo nappies. They did wash up OK though.

*Quality – The nappies are good quality and feel well made. The stitching is all as it should be and there is the Velcro sticker on the wrap to avoid it getting stuck to everything in the wash (if you remember to use it!) I also like the Velcro used on the wrap as it is not as harsh with the large loops as on other nappies / wraps.

*Value for money – The nappy is a well known and trusted brand and work out cheaper as they are supposed to be birth to potty which means that you only need to buy one set.

"a real let down"
I was bitterly disappointed with this nappy. It was very bulky on Logan especially between his legs and couldn’t be worn with the booster without looking very uncomfortable. I feel this nappy on a newborn would be enormous and when tried on my slim line toddler was a bit too snug, so as a birth to potty system I am not convinced it would really work.

Every time this nappy was worn it leaked and needed changing within an hour! The absorbency even after a few washes was very poor however the wrap when used with a different nappy was great with no leaks, so I assume it’s the poor absorbency and fit of this nappy that’s the problem rather than the wrap. Drying time is fine but overall this isn’t a nappy system I would recommend

"loved it!"
I was not expecting to like this nappy as I use prefolds but I thought it was great! The poppers appeared quite complicated to start with but once I had worked out what Isobel needed they were fine. It is a bulky nappy so I wouldn't use it on a newborn and I think it might be a bit snug on a toddler. Isobel was really comfortable and it contained even explosive poo's. It washed really well and I think the quick drying time was it's best feature. I will be buying more next time I need new nappies

"Nice wrap shame about the nappy."
The One life birth to potty nappy is obviously marketed as a high end product. On first inspection it has attractive packaging and is lovely and soft. Upon pre-washing I found the nappy to be easy to wash, as the booster has poppers to fit and its drying time was quick. However after a further few washes, I found the material became a bit hard. I fitted the nappy to my baby and found the fit to be wide between the legs, and the material around the poppers to stick out, which did not look comfortable at all. However, the cover was a good fit over the top and sealed around the legs nicely, and I was able to get Alfies clothes over easily.

I found the absorbency of this nappy poor, even with the booster fitted, although the cover did prevent most leaks, but was unusable a second time as it was very wet inside. I would not consider this product to be good value for money, even though it is marketed as a birth to potty nappy. The cut of the nappy would be too wide for a newborn and I tried it on my 27 month old daughter, who is medium build and I was unable to fit it to a reasonable comfort level, also for a toddler it would require further boosting.

All in all I disliked the nappy, primarily for the feel and fit, however the wrap was a good fit and nice quality.

"One life nappies"
I have brought a pack of one life nappies to use on my new baby. I have however, used them on my youngest at the minute. He seems to walk ok with the extra bulk between legs its just the extra changing times that seems to be involved with these nappies and I have noticed that a couple of them have gone all bobbley from washing. I hope that they will not get to overly washed by the time my newborn uses them!!

"fantastic product!"
I bought a bumper pack birth to potty train when I was pregnant after reading reviews (the choice was so big I really didn't know where to start) and these seemed really good. Although I haven't tried any other real nappies I have to say I am more than happy with these! Even my husband loves them and he wasn't conviced at all at the beginning! They did make our little boys bum look huge when he was newborn, but they certainly did a great job and fitted nicely when folded over for newborn stage. Our little one is now 17 months and we still use the nappies, when we were roughly counting the number of time we change his little bot it was somewhere in the region of 2000+! and not a single popper went wrong yet! They wash well (occasionally you get some stains but nothing too serious) and even though I change him every 3 hours or so in the day, I only have to wash them every three days as I have 25 nappies (bought extra 5 just in case). I definitely recommend these and I shall be using them again with my second baby!

"Not convinced"
We have been using these on our 9 week old for the last 7 weeks. I choose the nappies as they are supposed to last until potty training, but already I'm far from convinced on this one as I don't feel that there is that much more room to grow in them. My little boy won't tolerate a dirty or wet nappy so we end up endlessly changing him when he is in them - we never go more than 2 hours in any one nappy and often much less. This is hard work and we don't have enough nappies to last (we bought the hamper with 20 in). I'm not sure how environmental it is to do the amount of washing we would need to do to keep on top of his needs. We top up with disposables using them at night and when out, but I've taken to using them too if I want him to have a good sleep as I don't want to have to change him if he stirs and realises he is wet.

"good to use but wash easily"
I really like these nappies - they last for about 4 hours and stay soft with mutliple washes. The only down side that I've come across is that the wraps dont fit larger babies. My daughter is 8 months and a whopping 23 pounds, the size 3 wraps hardly fit and the poppers undo themselves. I've just found a web site that does the onelife wraps but in velcro, so hopefully I'll have more luck with them!

"fantastic product - easy as abc"
This product is easy to use with the popper fastings and the cover prevents any leakages even after no 2's. They give a snug comfortable fit especially now she's beginning to get more active. They're also easy to wash and come up really clean and white and still really soft after using and washing regularly for last 10 weeks (without softner as not allowed to use on cotton nappies).

My little girl is nealy 12lb now and so going into the third set of covers so I have questions on whether they fit her from birth right up to potty which is the pack I bought whilst pregnant. However the only other thing is that whilst there aren't any leaks the nappy is pretty much soaking after 4 hours so you do tend to change nappy more often than a disposable but nevertheless they are still saving us a fortune and the best thing still is my daughter seems to be happy in them and comfortable - which lets face it is the most important thing!!!!

"Great nappies"
I like these nappies. Although more expensive than similar items available they are ethicially made if you are into green issues. I did notice that they come up a lot softer after drying than the motherease. The nappies are secure and have not deteriorated after the high levels of washing.

"Love em"
These nappies are by far the best I have ever used. Easy to use, easy to wash and quick drying. They don't go hard if dried on a radiator like alot of other cotton nappies do. They are not bulky and the wraps are fab and can be used with other nappies too. Very absorbant with booster in and last all night. No leeks no mess just great nappies.

"Hopefully will get better!!"
My baby is 2 months now and weighing over 9lbs. We purchased the birth to potty pack while I was pregnant. So far we have used them a few times but find they are too big for our daughter. The wrap reaches way past her tummy button and leaves marks from the elastic waist. We hope when she gets bigger they will fit better.

"Excellent Nappy"
We bought the large One Life hamper which contains 20 nappies, before our daughter was born. We have found that this has been plenty. We probably used 10 a day when she was first born (I was a bit obsessed!)and now we usually wash nappies every other day. Regarding the previous reviewer's experience of the poppers breaking; none of our have broken, on the nappies or on the wraps. I think they are very good quality, and they have washed very well. We have found the fit perfectly fine, from birth to now, 1 year on. Yes, the nappies do look large on a new born, but they don't leak and seem very comfy and does it matter anyway? The only thing I wish is that they were made of organic cotton (I didn't really know about organic cotton nappies when we bought them) but I'm sure we've washed any pesticides out by now! Also they do need changing more frequently than disposables. I'd say every 4 hours (ish). I also still change the nappy when I go to bed so that she doesn't stay in the same one for 12 hours. All in all, highly recommended!

"Quite liked this"
This was a good fit on my baby, making for easy use - I didn't have any leaks as it was really very snug on her. I would question the absorbency as it was soaking when it came off, but it still didn't leak. Slim fit too. Washed and dried well. Not my favourte out of all that i tried, but still good.

"Good reliable popper fastening nappy"
This is a shapped, short terry popper fastening nappy, designed to be used from birth to potty training, depending how you fold it. It comes with it's own pop in booster pad and you use it with a separate popper fastening wrap and flushable paper liner. It was easy to put on, I like the poppers though some may find fiddly. Olivia can't undo them which is great - the nappy stays on, even if she's running around with no clothes on! It washes well and dries reasonably quickly. The poppers give a nice fit with lots of adjustability. I imagine it would be quite bulky on a newborn though. It looked very soft and comfortable on.

This nappy performed well, lasting about 4 hours without any leaks due to the snug fit. It was wetter than the Bumble when it came off, so doesn't have quite the same capacity I'd say.

The short terry is lovely and soft and seemed to stay softer than the longer terry does. You need to make sure you do this nappy up snugly to get a good fit as there isn't the same elastication at the wasit and legs as with many of the other shaped nappies. It looks well made and I think it would last the distance. Personally I prefer a nippa to a popper fastening nappy, but if I wanted poppers this is the style of nappy I'd go for.

It is more expensive than some other shaped nappies, including the Motherease One Size, which is identical from what I can see, but costs £1 less per nappy. I would recommend it to a friend, but would tell them to compare both so they could choose which one they preferred given the price difference.

"nice, but poor quality"
I really liked this nappy at the start. It is not bulky and looks good. The wrap is the best design I have seen. However, the poppers on the nappy broke the second time I used it, and the pile is not thick enough to use a nippa properly, so overall, I would not recommend. Shame as it looks nice!
