"we must've got the good bunch"
I've read all these other reviews with interest and have to say I'm really surprised. I found these nappies great to use - really slim fitting in comparison to most with hardly any leaks at all. I even use it on Alyna as a night nappy without any real hassles.

Maybe we got a good batch but I can honestly say I've been really impressed with them.

"Good points and bad points"
I have a set of 16 of these which has seen me through all of the newborn period without too much trouble. When Daphne was very small we had a lot of trouble with explosive poo leaks but only ever onto the wrap and no further. I have found that using a tots bots fleece topped booster inside the nappy solves the absorbency problem and means that only one insert is needed (no need for a further liner) however for much of the last thrre months I used a muslin square folded into a pad between the nappy and the wrap which works very effectively.

These dry fantastically quickly, a couple of hours on the line or in a pinch they are dry within the hour on a hot radiator (but they are much softer if line dried). With just 16 of these I have never run out.

I used these with the Imse Vimse soft wrap which I cannot fault. It is lovely and soft, has never leaked even when the nappy is sodden and fits beautifully. My daughter weighs nearly 16 pounds and I have only just moved out of the newborn sized wrap! There are five sizes of wrap so you can choose which sizes to buy- you will probably only need three sizes.

Although these can be a bit fiddly to put on to begin with once you get the hang of it they are really easy to use even now that Daphne is starting to view wriggling off the changing mat as her lifelong ambition.

Overall I would recommend these. Although I went through a period where I thought they were a bad buy I now love them, even more so now I have tried a few other types of nappy. Give them a try and see how they suit your baby. The wrap I would recommend to everyone.

"not bulky"
I quite liked this nappy due to its lack of bulk, and didn't have any leakage issues. however, I would not use it at night. I also thought it was a good price for an organic nappy.

"Leakage Alert!"
This nappy and wrap leaked far too much for them to be practical to use. In addition, I found the nappy really fiddly and time-consuming to put on.

The plus points of both the nappy and wrap is that they do feel very well made and because there is a high % of cotton in them they feel a bit more natural than some of the other ones.

"OH DEAR! NO THANK YOU!"
OH MY GOODNESS! AWFUL! WHERE TO START…? WAY TOO FIDDLY, NO FASTENING DEVICE(SCARY), THIN & NASTY FABRIC……LOOKED WAY TOO HIPPYISH & ORGANIC, EVEN FOR A ENVIROMENTALLY FRIENDLY PERSON LIKE ME. NEEDS MORE THOUGHT. DISASTER ZONE. AND WHAT ABSORBANCY? AFTER A FEW HOURS THE FABRIC WAS SODDEN, COLD, HARD & CLINGY. ICK! BUT SEEMS GOOD QUALITY IN TERMS OF MANUFACTURING (BEING SWISS IT MUST BE). SHAME ABOUT EVERYTHING ELSE. ALTHOUGH THIS IS A COST EFFECTIVE OPTION, IT'S SO NOT WORTH WASTING MONEY ON. NO NO NO!

"Not good at all ...."
Out of all the nappies I tested, this was the worst. I wouldn't recommend this to anybody - I tested it a number of times and it leaked every time and was totally sodden, in less than 2 hours. I didn't think it was particularly easy to use, I didn't really understand the design of it. There was much less of it compared to the other nappies so it washed and dried well and quickly, but that's hardly a plus when it doesn't actually do the job - absorbency v. bad.

"Sorry, but these were awful!"
The Imse Vimse Organic is a flannelette shaped nappy with no fastenings, help in place with a velcro fasteing wrap. I really struggled with this nappy, why, if it is shaped does it have no fastenings? It was really hard to get it on my wriggly 19 month old, and even when I did manage to get it more or less in place, and all done up it performed very badly. Apart from all the usual problems of toddlers being able to undo velcro wraps, the nappy itself didn't seem to fit her well, it seemed quite small and trying to hold it around her and keep it there while doing up the wrap was hard work to say the least. After only 2 hours I got leaks. The nappy seemed much thinner than others and I think this is probably why - it is slim fitting, but I don't want to change nappies every 2 hours now my girl is older! I'd have to use two together (or a booster pad) to get the absorbency I need, even in the daytime. The fabric felt nice and soft and did stay that way even after washing, and it seemed inexpensive for an organic nappy, but if you need to use two at a time you'd need twice as many, so in the end no cheaper than other options. I love cloth nappies, but really disliked this one and wouldn't recommend it to anyone....sorry.
