Big Disappointment!

I reserved my Loola about 3 months before I had my son so every time I was in Mothercare I checked it out again just to make sure it was I wanted. Read several reviews also and decided that this would be perfect, hmmm....not so. Firstly I loved the fact that you can click the car seat into the frame without disturbing the baby but really I think that's it's only plus point.

The pushchair is sturdy and easily manouverable but tricky up curbs and a tad too wide for the average shop door way. It's not 'lightweight' at all and is very clumsy when trying to get it in and out of the boot, would benefit from a carry handle on the side (it is however one of the few pushchairs that will fit in the boot of a Ka without dismantling anything).

The sunshade is brilliant as it covers a fair bit of your child but the rain cover is hopeless as it takes so long to zip on - mainly due to stiffness - and is not very user-friendly.

The shopping basket is a waste of time as completely inaccessible, something I thought wouldn't bother me but totally does.

I didn't realise what a chore this pushchair was until I visited my mother in France where she bought me a very cheap and simple buggy from the local supermarket - what a revelation! I'm definitely going to look for something smaller now

I can only recommend the Loola with the Creatis car seat for newborns, after that I would get something smaller and lighter, especially if you're out and about a lot with the car.

Best Feature: You can click the car seat into the frame without disturbing the baby

Worst Feature: The shopping basket is a waste of time as completely inaccessible. The rain cover is not user-friendly

Portability/ foldability and ease of Use: Overall a high quality buggy that has some unusual accessories not often found on other models. Great for parents who want a semi-lightweight buggy with a high comfort factor. The Loola was fairly easy to put together. The instructions were well written and easy to follow and it took less than half an hour to get it up and running. In general the Loola was fairly portable and easy to move around. The buggy comes with a separate hammock seat which I found quite bulky but the chassis folded down easily and was nice and compact. The fold also has a seat unit memory which meant that it sprung back into the last position I'd used when I unfolded it - quite a nifty little extra! Manoeuvring it around was easy although the handle frames did feel a little odd at first.

Practicality and Looks: The Loola I tested was grey and red, which gave it a sporty 'unisex' look. A lot of people commented that it looked smart and I felt quite proud pushing Joseph around in it! It offered really good support, comfort and protection and it was easy to get baby in and out. I really liked the height of the seat - it was a lot higher compared to other lightweight buggies I have used - and Joseph seemed to enjoy the better view that this afforded! An additional feature of this buggy that appeals is the fact that the chassis also takes a car seat and carrycot, working as a travel system.

Storage Space: The shopping basket was spacious but difficult to use as the cross frame of the chassis sits so low down over the basket.

Best Feature: Height and support of the ‘hammock’ seat

Worst Feature: Awkward shopping basket

"Good Value for money"
After reading many reviews on the loola I finally made the descision to purchase 1.

I had the old style Bebe Confort carry cot and chassis that I used for my previous baby (now 7) and wanted a more modern push chair. I also wanted a seat unit that could face either way- the loola fitted this criteria.

I was very wary of many aspects of this product after so many negative reviews and so when looking at it was able to really check it out.

My baby is 4 mths and of average size ( weighs just under 14lb ) She was instantly comfortable in this pushchair and the sides come up nice and high for added protection rather than a light weight buggy. It is made of a good quality fabric.It also sits in 3 positions including laying completely flat.The padding in the seat unit can be removed for cleaning which is useful. The rain cover is small and fits under in the basket and you can zip on when needed- this is not too fiddly as I dont do it in the rain- I watch the weather forecasts and if there is any sign of rain I zip it on before leaving home and it can be folded back over the hood.

The basket under neath is of good size and accesible from the front- this is when the seat unit is in the parent facing position though- it would be much harder to access the other way round.

The straps are very short- how Bebe confort think these will last for the whole time as a baby grows I will never know- I am already getting extention straps via mothercare- where buggy was purchased or direct from Bebe Confort-free of charge- would advise you to order at the time of purchase- I needed them as soon as I used the pram with the cosy toes. The cosy toes is great- I remove the bar from across the front of the push chair when this is on - it is very warm and luxurious.

The chassis folds up really easily and compact. The seat unit can also be removed easily for even more compact storage.

It is on the heavier size but its not a light weight buggy so wouldn't expect it to be.

It is heavy when lifting up over kerbs.( Good exercise for the triceps!!!!)

All in all I am very pleased with the Loola- I paid £250 for pram,cosytoes and parasol- and compared to some other similar ranges is quite cheap.

I recommend you read all the reveiws list the negatives and then check it out for yourself. The display model was not very good- the assistant said this is because people try to fold up and adjust without instructions and damage - is best to look at a model that is in the stock room. Good Luck

"Loola Up - Great!"
I have been through several pushchairs and this - my current one - is my favourite. It's not perfect, but then no pushchair is: if you want something compact and lightweight then you sacrifice features, if you want all the features it is likely to be heavyweight and cumbersome. I think the Loola Up is the best balance of the two.

Pros:

* Very comfy, fully reclining seat which faces either direction. Perfect for my 8 month old who still wants to see mum, but no longer wants to lie flat. Plus still needs to have good comfortable naps.

* Can be folded down with the seat attached in either direction - trust me, the pushchairs that require you to remove the seat first are a total pain!

* Very adjustable handle height. I'm not massively tall (5'8") but I have struggled with the height of most of my other pushchairs, it was even worse for my 6ft husband. On a long walk we would both get discomfort in our backs from pushing other pushchairs. The Loola Up is fantastic - every member of my family have commented on how nice it is to push.

* Large rain/sun canopy.

* Single handlebar helps manoeuvrability, especially when holding a toddler's hand at the same time.

* Takes a Maxi Cosi (or bebe confort) infant carrier with appropriate adaptors

* Slim, stylish and more compact/lightweight than almost all other pushchairs with comparable features. There are obviously more lightweight and compact strollers, but certainly not any that I'd be happy to use with a small baby.

* The footmuff (available separately) is the warmest, most comfy I have ever come across.

Cons:

* Short harness/straps. This has been mentioned in a previous review and is true - it is a struggle to do up around my 8 month old with a winter coat on, and the footmuff in place. However, bebe confort have responded to this feedback and if you contact their UK agent (Dorel UK) you will be sent longer replacement straps free of charge. Mine are on the way at the moment!

* 'Small' basket. Definitely smaller than some others, but the design has been amended on the 'Up' model so that it is now above the crossbar, so much more accessible. I personally don't mind a smaller basket, as I'm a tidy type who doesn't feel the need to keep everything but the kitchen sink in there. It fits my baby bag, handbag, and toddler's coat (for example) without any problem.

* Heavy? It's heavier to push than a lightweight buggy, but - again - I like that. It feels sturdy and substantial, rather than 'heavy'. I lift it in and out of the car (using the handle used to pull the pushchair closed) no problem at all.

Overall:

I've had numerous pushchairs (Quinny Buzz, M&P Pramette, Bruin Alpine, Phil & Ted's Sport Double, Petite Star Zia, plus a Quinny Zapp that I still have - fab from about 9 months for short outings!)and the Loola Up meets all of my requirements better than any of the rest.

Personally I would like a pushchair that was lighter and folded smaller, but if it did then it wouldn't feel as safe, and wouldn't be as comfy for baby.

"Great Product"
I think my wife and I spent more time looking at prams/travel systems than we did when we bought our house! We have had the Loola Up for 3 months now and it is a great product.

First things first - Remember that OVER half of these reviews are for the Loola travel system prior to the 'UP' version being released in 2008. They have improved the product a great deal that the one of 2006/07. Personally I reckon the 'strap/harness' problem will be easy to fix - it's amazing what you can get out of your outdoor shop for next to nothing. Ir reckon I could modify the straps for less than a tenner. Now for the detail -

<The Good Stuff>

*It's adaptable in it's use - takes seconds to swap between the Creatis-Fix car seat and the main push chair/lie flat base. Click and go!

*It's lightweight - when folded I can pick the whole thing up with one hand/arm! It's lighter the vast majority of all travel systems (whole and in it's parts)

*It's compact when folded - this is very important, we have a saloon car!. More compact than most too!

*It's mega maneuverable - takes shopping trips by it's stride

*When combined with the foot-muff - very comfortable for our baby

*Adjustable handle bar - great for taller dads!

*It seems well built

*Its great looking

<The Not so Good Stuff>

*As previously mentioned- the harnesses are not the longest - I reckon these could be adapted easily though

*The wheel rubber wears down fast – strange one this – is this really a problem?

*Shopping basket isn't largest but then it's a compact travel system so you can't complain!

Overall - I think it's a great buy for the money.

"straps not long enough, don't buy."
It is so light weight when your just putting the frame in the boot of your car but add a car seat or push chair seat or even a baby and it's like pushing/lifting a baby elephant!!!

As for the straps, if you use the lovely padded cosy toes you have no chance of strapping your baby in if he/she if over 6 months. I can't make the straps any longer, soon they will not do up around my little girl. Took it back to Mother Care and very helpful lady said they have loads of complaints about the straps!! Am I the only one whos had this problem cos I have'nt read any other reviews saying about it!!!

"loola lover"
i have had many pushchairs with the little boy i look after 7 days a week. in the 10months he's been here i have had around 10 pushchairs for him. i have had graco's, hauks, mamas and papas, maclaren and silvercross pushchairs. overall i love the loola, i have had my eye on them for a while and finally got my hands on one about 3 months ago. i love the loola its practicality and the way you can change the way you use it in seconds. i dont understand how people have such problems with them as the one i am using has had two different owners before me. this one has never needed repairing and is still with its original covers and raincovers for the seat unit, carseat and windoo carrycot. overall a must buy for new mums. just so you know the sheer practicality of the loola, i can fit the chassis, seat unit, car seat and windoo carrycot in the boot of a rover metro.

"Waste of money"
I bought a loola confort and thought it would be great as my daughter likes to be talked to when I take her out but I HATE MY LOOLA now.

Im tall so the handles are too short, my fiance is 6ft 4 and can't use it comfortabley. The handles look cheap and wobble when you push it. The basket is too small and you can't even get to it when the babys facing you. The raincover!!! What am I meant to do in a sudden downpour when I have to try and zip the raincover on? It doesn't fold away so you can't just keep it attatched on the offchance of rain either but my most hated thing it Kerbs.

You have to tip it for every kerb! and the legrest hits you in the knees if you don't lift it!

The worst was my loola hit a LOWERED kerb for wheenlchairs and tipped making my baby hit her head on the floor. The pushchair is now broken and I fell on the pushchair and got the legrest straight in the knees so now I can barely walk for the bruises!

"Needs improvement."
I am, like many mothers, a pram-o-holic! Some women like shoes, some like bags, well I like prams. Since the birth of my son, I have had about 8 prams. Needless to say, I think I have become quite the expect when it comes to accessing prams.

I had my eye on the loola for some time. My first pram was a bebe confort trophy, and the bulkiness and weight of the chassis was a catalyst for my tons of prams. Although the trophy was a pain in the rear, it did have some fantastic features mainly being the car seat - Creatis and carry cot- Windoo. I wanted to use this same features in my next pram hence the interest in loola.

Now Loola has been very dissappointing. First things first, it does have some good points. I love the overall size of it, it is nippy compared to full size prams and I really love the fact that you can change the swivel wheels on the side of the pram. I love the option that you can change the seat to face you or to face outward. I also like the you can just pop in the carseat and the carry cot.

However that is where the good side ends and where the negative aspects start to rears it's head.

It is an absolute nightmare to drive over curbs. I am serious, I was so completely shocked by this. It is for a starter not something you think about when you get a pushchair. The wheels are too small to get over the curb and to be honest the wheels seem a bit cheap. I think they maybe rubber but they feel like plastic.

Shopping Basket? Where? I certainly do not see one. Oh you mean the small canvas on the bottom of the pushchair? Sure that would be a nifty basket to bad it is blocked by a rather bulky X support frame. It is a waste of space.

Finally, the weight. It is not light weight. I do not care what other people have said, it is heavy. Heavy in relation to the size of buggy. Try climbing on a bus with the loola and a toddler. It is a great workout, but very stressful. Take my word on it!

Bebe Confort really needs to work these things out. For starters use an aluminum frame as oppose to steel. Get rid of the X support frame, making the basket useful. And finally work on the wheels, maybe rubber is more heavy than plastic but I am sure with a little chassis it would not make a difference.

"Love my Loola and it's quirks"
I bought my Loola and Windoo carrycot in early 2005, after the loan of a Graco travel system that was just too big for my boot. As my daughter was extremely prem we needed the Windoo lie flat car seat, one of only two types on the market at the time. I found the windoo car seat/pram fabulous, with it's rain cover and it's simple clip system to the Loola chasis it was perfect. The Loola itself gave that vital parent facing seat and many a time I have offered thanks as other mums struggled to get their buggy into position whilst we were immediately ready to roll thanks to the seat memory.

I very quickly got the matching day bag, with its nifty nappy changer clipped to the outside. With it's clip to the handle system and it's roomy insides it has done me from milk bottles and nappies through to juice bottles and portable potties! The net pockets on the outside are a little holey after 3 years, but that is mainly because I always put my keys in there, and it has outlived many other mums' bags.

The Loola itself I have found to be sturdy and strong. In three years the only 'break' was the srew on the bottom crossbars which came undone once, and bear in mind that I park on the road around the corner from my house, so it is continually being put up and down (hence the need for a simple one click system). The comfortable seat cover wears and washes well, but the hood is becoming a little worn (although it has never been taken off as I found it equally useful for rain or sun).

I also bought the matching Technic footmuff, a little pricey but boy is it thick and warm. It is the baby size and we now have a fleecy version to fit our toddler, and I did find it a little bulky when folding it all down - best to lift it up from the seat a little when folded so that the chasis clip holds.

The chasis itself has a few little quirks - you need to lock the wheels into position before you fold it down (but this is true for many other buggies) and you need to ensure it is fully extended and locked on opening before putting the child in as their weight stops it locking. The clips on the restraining straps are a little fierce, even still, but you soon learn to keep your skin and your chids hands out of the way. The buggy is on the wide side, which can be a little frustrating through small doorways, but this is more than made up for by the fact that at 3 1/2 my daughter is still perfectly happy to go in it, although we have taken the safety bar off and the over-should straps are clipped to the little D ring on the outside of the lap straps. In comparison these other toddlers had outgrown their varoius travel systems at about 2 years, and although they refuse to go in buggies now will still happily climb into my Loola if they find it vacant!

The fold mechanism is simplicity itself (no mucky hands locking the wheels or fishing around for the release mechanism), and I have found the best way to lift it in and out of the boot is with one hand underneath on the carry handle and one holding the safety bar / edge of seat on the front.

It can be a little troublesome on curbs, you have to lean down to lift the front wheels slightly, but other than that it handles, turns and steers well and other mums have commented on this in comparison to their range of buggies.

My only bug bear has been the rain cover, although the integral curved bar and zip design is good the plastic is far too stiff. Whilst other mums keep theirs folded back over the hood I have had to remove it, fold it in and lay it over the shopping basket, with the two straps popped together around the rear bar so that it doesn't slide off - see there is a use for the shopping basket after all! I tried folding it back over, but the plastic started to split. It would be much better made from the same softer plastic as the Windoo cover.

In three years of use my lovely Loola has seen other mums buggies come and go, frames easily bent and soon too small for their growing occupants. I can forgive its little quirks because it has saved me buying a second buggy at toddler stage. As I look forward to a possible second pregnancy I know that I do not need to replace it, although I might treat myself to the creatis car seat!

"Thank the Lord it's over"
By baby number three, one would hope to be wise in the ways of buggy buying. Sadly, the seductive charms of mat aluminum coupled with a funky, chunky chassis was enough to banish my good sense and tempt me to part with my dosh believing that I too could pass for a 'cool' mum with a must have wow/now baby transporter. How foolish.

Experience has taught me that what you need from a buggy isn't beauty, it's brains and brawn. Whilst the Loola undoubtedly looks pretty, it really is a very silly, very fragile, very unpredictable mare of a buggy, riddled with crap plastic mechanisms and annoying fiddly fixtures that serve no purpose apart from winding me up.

Here is my summary of the past 18 months of life with my Loola:

1.Three of the wheels have fallen off - school run, shopping centre, garden centre...

2.As my baby transformed into a toddler,he was unable to sit upright due to the tipped angle of the 'upright' position... A friend who is a child's osteo -doc believes the buggy to be dreadful for supporting delicate growing bones... apparently, I might as well sit Freddie on a marshmallow.

3.The handles jammed.

4.The opening mechanism jammed - 50% of the time, it was impossible to lock open. (always carry a small hammer)

5. The brake fell off.

6.The rain cover zip broke within two months; as did the replacement and the replacement's replacement...

7. It was very difficult to get up curbs.

8. Dreadfully Heavy and awkward to store.

9. A nightmare to get into pubs/independent shops/cafes/car boots/busses/trains...

10. After 18 months of struggling on, trying to spare the local landfill another crap buggy, the clasp on the strap broke...hooray, at last I feel able to buy another buggy.

The Loola might look great, but I have honestly found it to be the most ineffective, frustrating and downright crap purchase I have made in my life ever...be warned

"Fantastic - wouldn't be without"
I think the loola is a fantastic system. I have gone through 6 pushchairs trying to find the best for everything. It may not be as light as some of the strollers you can get but it is sturdier and the great bit is i can have my baby facing me. i find the loola to fit all my needs. It is easy to get in the car, leaving plenty room for the shopping. I find the loola to be good for in town and also for out and about where i live(the middle of no where) the all round suspension is great on the country tracks compared to other strollers, and it is lighter and easier to stear the a big 3 in one system. I have also found the loola much better than my three wheeler as people keep tripping over the front of it. All round i think that the loola provides everything you could need at a very reasonable price. i would say one extra i wouldn't be without is the car seat rain cover so when your baby is little you don't need to worry about it raining and having to take the seat unit with you. They can be dry snug and warm in their car seat.

"Not bad but some problems"
This pushchair looks fab, is comfy, sturdy and warm and has a fantastic turning circle. It can be rearward facing which is great, and folds and unfolds very easily.

However it's very wide and I have trouble in many shops. It's also very heavy so difficult to get in and out of the car. I have bought a lightweight buggy to keep in the car for the summer, but I really didn't expect to need two pushchairs so it's a little disappointing.

Not the greatest pushchair around. Heavy to fold and carry awkward to put up and down. im quite tall so the arm positions aint good even though they go up and down a fraction and then one side broke. Have a good shop around before choosing style over content

"Fantastic buggy"
I was dead set on getting the Mammas and Pappas Ziko Frankie for the whole of my pregnancy then I saw the Loola with the base for the car seat and I immediately bought that instead. I have never regretted the decision.

The Creatis Fix car seat and base works brilliantly; it is so easy to get her in and out of the car. It's very comfortable for her and can be used as a resting place when we go out and about visitting. It is a little larger than other car seats and won't fit into the special trolleys in the supermarket. This is a bit of a bind, but we have adapted our shopping habits and now go as a family or I shop little and often. We could always switch to internet shopping.

The different parts clip into the frame very easily and it is very easy to fold up, provided you remember to fix the wheels in position first. The hammock seat is a little large for a newborn baby but now she is 3 months old she is starting to use the seat more.

The rainhood is a little stiff, and the basket is not the easiest to use. However, the frame is so sturdy and well engineered that it is no bother hanging shopping from the handles. There are even 2 little hooks on the handles that help the shopping stay in place.

Overall a well designed buggy that works as a travel system or on it's own.

"DON'T DO IT!!"
Keeping in mind this was the buggy I wanted from the day I found out I was pregnant, I was very upset when it 'started' letting me down.

1. The shopping basket...Whys that there!?!? You can't fit anything in it.

2. Its not light at all.

3. Its wider than your average door and very clumbsy.

4. The front wheels don't know what there doing, locked or un-locked.

5. Difficult to fold down, especially if you manage to fit anything in the shopping basket....like a tissue!.

6. The rain cover has air holes in it big enough to let the rain in (my newborn got soaked).

7. Know where to clip a play arch.

8. Foot rest is not adjustable.

On the other hand, it has a nice strong hood. BUT thats it! Mine was sent back after 3 months. I now own a silver cross 3d, which i can't fault and wish i had from day one.

"Loola lovers"
I spent a long time reviewing various different buggies and trying them out in shops before I decided on the Loola and I am so pleased I did!

The Creatis Fix car seat is fantastic - with the thingy that fits into the car that the seat just clips on to. Makes taking the seat in and out of the car easy and fits in the front and back of my old golf and the front of my partner's Scirroco which has bucket seats. My little one sleeps so well in the car seat we sometimes use it in the house if we need a break.

Having a pram seat which can either face you or out was really important to me. He is really comfortable and well supported. It folds up really easily (if you straighten out the wheels first for those finding it difficult) and stands solidly when folded. I have received so many so many positive comments on it.

I use this nearly everyday - often getting on and off London buses and trains and have not found it difficult to use at all. The only bug bears, as others say, is the shopping basket - you cannot get anything bulky in it which makes the nappy shop difficult and the silly zip on the rain cover.

"looks great but two many faults"
I love trying new pushchairs and when i first saw the loola i had to have one.I was looking for something lightweight as i had a full size pram that did'nt fit in my car but when it arrived the weight of the loola suprised me it was definetly not light like the description said.I found the seat unit easy to fit and it was easy to fold but when i tried to find the matching footmuff it was impossible i searched for weeks then found out my colour had been discontinued.After only 1 month of use the plasic frame in the hood broke but i carried on using it struggling every time it rained to zip the raincover on which was really stiff.The shopping basket is useless as the frame prevents you putting things in.It is also very wide and sometimes getting in doors was a problem and getting up kerbs and steps made it feel like the frame was ready to break,after using it for just 4 months the foot plate at the back where you push to put the loola up snapped and the chassis then swayed side to side and was unusable. "Love it!"
The best thing about the Loola is how easy you can remove the car seat and puschair from the chassis its so simple compared to alot of travel systems. You have the option of putting it in the car in two pieces which is handy if you have filled the boot up! I definatly think its the closest you can get to a lightweight pushchair in a travel system that you can use from birth. It looks great and Im so glad I didnt go for a Bugaboo as eveyone seems to have one and I feel a bit different!

"can't wait to try my loola"
i have just bought a loola and can't wait to try it out.i have 3 boys and have had about 10 pushchairs in 7 years. this time i wanted one that meant i could look at my baby without having the poor thing in the car seat, but found that most that have this facility cost the earth, the loola is much cheaper. its not as light as some that i've had but the seat is much higher. we have bought it with the car seat aswell, and it just clips into the chassis, so you don't have to take the whole pushair with you, which is great as people carries don't have much of a boot.it also has the wedge thing so your baby can lie almost flat instead of scrunched up with its head on one side. its easy to fold up and down and you dont need to be an octopus to change between the car seat and pushchair seat,or to fold it up and down, i can't stop playing with it. it looks great too. out of all the prams and pushchairs i've had this seems to be the happy medium, don't buy it if you are looking for a lightweight pushchair as its not, and it hasn't got the most practical shopping basket, but other than that i can't find much wrong with it. i can't wait til this one is born so i can try it out properly.

"too many design faults"
i use the loola as a buggy - great that baby can face you and raincover is great. i dislike the low handles and it is a cart to push especially up kerbs. i find it too heavy and a pain to unfold the clasp keeps locking. the basket is a waste of time and i keep trapping my hands in the harness clasp - one big design fault - it is a great idea but needs a few changes i cant wait to sell mine.

"Not impressed"
Bought the Loola Pushchair with footmuff last May 05 from Daisy & Tom. Was last one & was on sale - thought why not. The same day, the bottom x chassis came loose & since then it has not only worked loose, but the other side has come apart & now the handle to close the chassis has come away - absoloute waste of money. It is easy to use, stylis and comfy for my baby. The swivel/in-line wheels are easy to use, but a bit of a pain in a small boot. You cannot call this a lightweight pushchair, more like old fashioned pram with a modern look.

i love my Loola - as i am doing school runs all day it is so practical be able to fit car seat straight onto chassis and not to have to bring whole pram out everytime. its lightweight but also sturdy and very funky looking - lots of people comment on it

"another loola lover"
My mum bought me the Loola whilst I was pregnant and I went to the department store time and time again to see it! I have found it very lightweight and its so easy to fold up and is very nifty in a busy shopping centre. What I've also found great is the folding up and storing (I simply could not imagine having one of those bulky prams)the parasol was a little annoying as after I'd bought it, I couldn't find the connector so took it back then got the same parasol back 3 wks later after the sales assistant told me how to attach it!

My only real disappointment with this is the basket which you can't really get good access because of the chassis cross bar so you end up having to carry half a tonne of shopping. The main thing though is that my daughter is comfortable and I got the foot muff free which has been great for all this cold weather. I would definitely recommend this travel system to anyone and the creatis car seat fits the chassis and it looks great - so much so that I was stopped in the supermarket and asked where I got it from.

Well I hate my Loola! I have already had it replaced as the brakes kept jamming and the handles kept slipping into the "fold" mode after just 4 months use and now the new one is doing the same after only a months use its awful!!

For a pushchair to be found in the lightweight pushchairs section of most retailers it isn't half a weight! I loved the fact that it went parent facing but this is the only thing I loved about it! It is wide and deep so almost impossible to get up kerbs etc, and because of the width I was constantly banging into things! There is no leg extend so I felt my son was slumped the whole time and his feet got cold as they dangled! I found it easy enough to collapse but picking it up to get into the car boot almost impossible. The harness was flimsy cheap plastic that I have hurt myself on several ocassions! I always seemd to be snapping a bit of skin in as well - just as long as it wasn't my son's skin. The handle height is too low and meant i was constantly holding my arms out in front of me - not good on your back. Loola was also extremely expensive!

"i hate my loola!!!"
the title says it all really! its heavier than i thought. i find lifting it in and out of the boot a struggle, this certainly isnt a light weight pushchair. i'd put it in the pram catagory. i love the chassis when i use it with my creatis. its light,functional and REALLY GOOD LOOKING! i love the way you can unlock/ lock the wheels by a flick on a button beside the handles. the parasol connector is nifty where its hidden (although it took me a month to find it :-p ) its just the pushchair mode i dont like. i dont like the fact that the raincover doesnt fold back on itself easily like the mamas and papa pliko. i found i have to unzip it and put it in the useless shopping basket. also the release lever for the brake is made entirely of plastic so i have broken mine. ive only used it for 3 and a half months :-( im not bothering to get it repaired. im getting a bugaboo like i should have done in the 1st place.

"A nifty little pushchair"
I must admit, I was sceptical about using this buggy. I'm a bit of a lightweight luvvie, but this has been a pleasant surprise. Overall, the quality is fantastic, it's a good-looking buggy and the height of the seat is fab. Fin loved being so high up and looked like he was a king on his throne (obviously not used to having such a good view!)

I wasn't overly keen on the fold mechanism and it took me a while to work out how to get the wheels to swivel, but now I've got past those little hiccups I love it!

Other bonuses are the sun canopy which stretches right over the top, the foot rest (ultra comfy) and the fact that it combines with a travel system. The only thing I think they need to improve is the shopping basket as the metal base for the buggy comes down so low, your limited as to how much you can store in it.

I would recommend the Loola to anyone after a semi-lightweight buggy that has the features of a travel system. Very impressed.

"cool and compact"
I too am a Loola-lover. I bought it before my son, now six months, was born and chose it for its stylish looks and for the fact that it meant that I didn't have to sell my sports car as it fits neatly into the boot. People have often commented it on its good looks and my son seems comfortable riding in it. Like the reviewer above, however, the wheel closest to the brake has fallen off several times due to the wheel-nut coming loose. On the last occasion I tightened it securely with a spanner before complaining to Two Left Feet, the supplier I bought it from. I am currently using a replacement chassis until mine is returned. This aside the Loola's plus points are that it is very versatile in that you can slot both the car seat and the pushchair into the lightweight chassis and both can face both ways which was great when my son was newborn and not interested in the outside world. The comfortable car seat, which enabled him to lie flat, definitely made him feel like he was still in-utero and he used to drop off to sleep instantly. The accompanying changing bag is roomy and also looks good - I'm afraid I'm a sucker for trying to look like a "yummy mummy"! I would certainly recommend the Loola but the manufacturer should definitely address the wheel issue as it is obviously a design fault.

"great look and lovely to push"
I love my Loola I bought it when Charlie was about 4 months old as he hated not being able to see me and would scream when I put him in a forward facing buggy. I bought it mainly for the rear facing seat but also because it just felt and looked so modern and posh!! We did have to send our first one back after 6 weeks as the brake pedal snapped although I had loads of shopping on it so that was my fault. If I had seen the Loola earlier I would definatly have bought the car seat as well as it is very nice. The cosy toes you can buy to go with the buggy is a little pricey (around £50) but it is fatastically warm and padded and perfect for cold, wet, windy days. The raincover is good but it zips on to the hood which can be a little stiff and difficult to do quickly. I have found finding all the accessories for it difficult too but I finally managed to find the matching parasol and nappy bag (which is great and so useful as it fits on little notches on the handles). It is quite heavy when folded in 1 unit but if you seperate it, it's lighter and it fits better in the boot. My son loves this buggy for the same reason as the reviewer, it's comfy, it reclines almost fully and the seat is really high so he's not looking at people's knees. One suggestion though... don't leave the baby facing you for too long because now i'm trying to get Charlie used to his holiday buggy (a maclaren it's lighter) and he really hates it!!!

"small car suitability and sturdyness"
I tried a variety of pushchairs before Alex was born and found that the Loola seemed by far the most compact and sturdy design on the market. Others seemed to be quite flimsy for the price. The only thing I find is that if you have the pushchair facing you you have to remove before folding and that the chassis although supposed to stand up when folded on its own has its moments of being unstable. Oh yeh and the front wheel has fallen off once while out for a walk so best to service it on a regular basis in case the wheel nut has slackened off a bit too much. I otherwise do love this product. Stylish and have not seen anyone where I live with the same pushchair/carrycot in the 7 months I have been using it!
