Lovely Liners, less keen on the nappy!

Test length: 4 weeks
Parent Panel review by Amanda - review date 21 February 2006
This all-in-one nappy has been designed so that it dries more quickly with lots of panels which flip out, then fold in ready for use. It does work, but I didn't get on with it very well. I got some leaks, which I think were due to areas around the edge of the nappy where the lining was sewn in in such a way that it was turning to the outside allowing the wet to wick through onto Olivia's clothes. I like the idea of an all-in-one nappy, but in practice have yet to find one that works as well as a 2 part system (i.e. seperate nappy and wrap). I did like the colour of the outer wrap (pretty lilac) but didn't feel the nappy fitted her very well overall, actually looked quite bulky too. I did love the camomile impregnated liners that came with the nappy - they were lovely and really helped when Olivia was teething and had a sore bottom.

Best Feature: Pretty wrap colour
Worst Feature: Waistband wicked moisture onto clothes
Verdict: Sorry, but I wouldn't use this nappy, or recommend it to others.

"my first choice"
This is a great nappy. Easy to use, dries quickly and fits well for months and months. It's the first one I reach for and I hate it when they're all in the wash. The folding system means it dries almost as quickly as a terry and the fit is neat. No scratching from the velcro and even an active toddler stays neatly in it. If I have another baby more of these will be on the top of my wish list. They're bulky but cute as anything.

"Good value and reliable"
I really liked this nappy and it works well for my baby too.

The liners are beautifully soft and kind to baby's skin - I also liked the fact that it was so easy to use and the adjustable waistband is great for longevity.

It is a tad bulky but my baby seemed to like rolling around in all the extra padding!

I'd recommend this one.

"And a no from me ....."
A complicated nappy that's trying too hard. I've said in other reviews that the best nappies are the simplest in design, which is where this falls down. It's far too bulky, making clothes over the top a problem, and there's just too much going on with all the flaps and the cheap looking outer wrap. It worked fine, but there are much much better nappies on the market. I really wouldn't recommend it.

"DEAR OH DEAR...."
WELL, TO START ON A POSITIVE NOTE: IT'S AN EASY TO USE ALL-IN-ONE SYSTEM WITH A GOOD, ADJUSTABLE VELCRO WAISTBAND. FROM THERE IT GOES DOWNHILL....WHAT’S WITH ALL THE LOOSE FLAPS OF FABRIC????!! BAD! REALLY BAD DESIGN, EVEN IF IT MIGHT BE TO MAKE IT QUICKER TO DRY. NASTY! YUCK. GET AWAY...IT MADE ME THINK THAT IT MUST BE TERRIBLY UNCOMFORTABLE FOR MY BABY'S BUM TO BE ENTANGLED IN SO MANY FLAPS OF OVERLAPING FABRIC. AND THE FABRIC LOOKED & SMELT PRETTY NASTY & CHEAP, BAD QUALITY. IN TERMS OF VALUE FOR MONEY: IT SEEMS EXTREMELY PRICEY FOR SUCH A ‘CHEAP’ PRODUCT. A RIP OFF I THINK. WOULDN'T USE IT, NO THANKS.

"didn't like much"
this nappy is so bulky, it is off putting. Personally, I don't find using a wrap that much of a problem, so there's no real benefit in an all-in-one for me. I also found the various flaps etc a bit confusing!
