Number of reviews: 1 Overall score: Organic baby food Available from www.goodnessdirect.co.uk, price From 89p See our tests of similar products Good for trying different foodsParent Panel review by julie - review date 5 December 2005Texture: We tested the stage one foods and they were all blended to a nice smooth consistency. However the fruit combinations were all very runny and I found it very difficult to feed these to my boys (you know what it's like trying to feed babies as they get a bit older)- a large proportion of the fruit jars ended up on their bibs. Appearance: The food comes in jars and it was all well labelled. There were food combinations that you may not normally find such as apple and quince. The food was naturally colourful. Smell: The fruit jars smelled very fruity and inviting, however the carrot and pumpkin that we tried did smell very earthy. Ease of use/versatility: These are very easy to use as you just take out what you need and serve it either hot or cold and what has not been heated up can be kept in the fridge for 48 hours. We did mix some of the left over fruit purees with their breakfast cereal and with natural yoghurt, which both the boys loved. Taste (mum): All the jars were very tasty and the fruit jars were very yummy indeed. Taste (babies): Toby was smacking his lips when he was having the fruit purees, so they must have been good, Max could take it or leave it and they both lost interest in it after about half a jar. Value for money: This range is more expensive than the other organic ranges on the market and from the ones we tried I would not recommend it as it is quite a bit more expensive and the texture really was too runny.
