Type Shaped nappy, needs wrap.
Fit/Looks this nappy is fabulously adjustable using the poppers located on the waist and legs. Until very recently, we were still using the smallest settings on the size 1 nappy. I found this to be a lot slimmer than a lot of other nappies. This nappy is available in white or unbleached; both have a high cuteness factor!
Absorbency great for newborns, but we soon found we needed to boost the nappy using a Motherease stay-dry liner.
Drying the soaker pad in this nappy can take a while to dry, even if tumble dried. I found this dries like cardboard in this area if line dried.
Containment I dont think we ever had a leak with this nappy. It is particularly good at containing explosions, so good for breastfed babies.
Best Feature: Very adjustable, get a lot of use out of Size one, fantastic containment
Worst Feature: Can need boosting, no stay dry layer, takes a long time to dry
Verdict: Very good value nappy. Excellent adjustability means no leaks and no full clothes change!

"Not the greatest absorbency ..."
I've used the small version of these and the x-large version. They are very easy to use as the fastening is all poppers (though 4 poppers on wiggly child is not ideal). They were great on DD and the first nappy that fitted her as she was a smaller baby.
However, I don't think that the absorbency is great on an older child. Once DS got over 2 - they were totally inadequate for overnight even with substantial boosting.

"Motherease gets my vote"
I started off using Bambino Mio nappies and really did not get on with them, they seemed to have very poor containment but they were good when it came to drying time. I purchased some small size Motherease sandy's and immediately fell in love with them. They are small and thin, they have poppers and they contain those exposive poos of newborns!
The downside is that they do not have as good an absorption amount as the prefolds so you do need to either boost them up or change your child more often to avoid saturation point being reached!
Benefitial when you have a wriggler and when the wriggler also figures out that velcro sounds great when undone by little hands!

"Great for explosive poo!"
The Mother-ease Sandy's is my favourite nappy for dealing with runny poo situations, whether it's breastfed infants or a toddler with a tummy upset, this nappy will keep it in due to the excellent elastication around legs, back and tummy. It's easy to fasten, with poppers at the waist and legs (though if you're using a popper fastening wrap too it can seem like you're doing up an awful lot of poppers!). Drying time is reasonably good. They do a lovely XS size which is great for low birthweight babies, and also a toddler size, which lots of kids can skip straight up to without using the large at all.

"Motherease Sandy's nappies"
Our daughter is now 17 months and we've used these nappies since birth, starting with the XS size. They wash well and don't hold onto stains, and still look good after months of washing and drying. They are adjustable at both legs and waists and don't leave marks which can happed with some velcro nappies. As they're quite slim fitting compared to some other washable nappies you don't struggle so much with clothes (which are no longer designed for cloth nappies) although some trousers have been problematic. Would recommend to anyone considering starting with cloth nappies.

"Nice nappy"
Did like this - a nice simple straightforward nappy. Slim fit, washed and dried well. Had a couple of times where the absorbency worried me, it came off soaking, but still no leaks. Generally I was v. impressed and would definitely consider buying this if i was starting out again. Would advise anyone to definitely try it out ...

"loved this"
this was my favourite of all the nappies I tested. it is not bulky and the poppers combined with elastic allow for a good fit on my skinny little man, it also felt lovely and soft. I would recommend using a booster at night though.

"JUST BRILLIANT!"
NICE & SIMPLE TO USE. VERY HASSLE FREE: NAPPY & V. CUTE WRAP. TOTALLY LOVED THE PATTERNED WRAP – REALLY GOOD FUN. IT'S GOOD DESIGN ALL ROUND. WELL THOUGHT THROUGH. SIDE POPPERS EVERSOSLIGHTLY FIDDLY THOUGH, BUT I'M NOT COMPLAINING...ABSORBANCY IS REALLY EXCELLENT. WITHELD ANY DISASTERS EVEN THROUGH PHASE OF UPSET STOMACH. THE TOWELLING FABRIC IS WONDERFULLY SOFT & COMFY. A GOOD, SNUG FIT. ALL-IN-ALL AN EXCELLLENT NAPPY THAT'S WELL WORTH THE MONEY. BIG THUMBS UP!

"Practical and comfortable, but not the most absorbent!"
This nappy is one of the most comfortable nappies tested and feels really solid and robust.
The poppers on the nappy itself make it a bit more fiddly to put on, but not so much so that it's an issue.
It comes with a slide in booster but we found that we had to add another booster in to avoid leakages. Also a couple of explosive poos were not held in by this nappy.

"A good, reliable sized nappy system"
This is a sized, shaped nappy which fastens with poppers at the waist and legs. It comes with a separate patterned wrap. I used it with flushable paper liners. It is very easy to put on, though some may find the poppers fiddly, the advantage is you can even put it on a standing baby, which is helpful with a busy toddler! Washes well and dries reasonably quickly.
Because this is a sized nappy you do get a really nice, neat fit. The poppers are good too as Olivia cannot undo them. I wasn't overly keen on the patterned wrap - it would clash horribly with some of her summer dresses, but they come in white too, so that would be OK. This wrap performed really well and stayed lovely and soft. Of all the wraps I tried I'd say Motherease were by far the best and most reliable.
Compares very well on absorbency and containment. Lasted as long as any of the other nappies and 'captured' what it needed to well - no leaks!
The stretch terry fabric stayed soft even after plenty of washing. I found myself using this nappy regularly. The poppers at the legs and waist give lots of adjustability so you can get a really good fit, even if your baby has chubby thighs and a slim waist (or vice versa)! This nappy is really well made and would stand up to lots of use on several children.
These nappies are well priced and compare well with others on the market. However they are more expensive overall than a one size system as you need to buy new nappies as your child grows in the next size up. I would recommend them to to others if price wasn't a huge concern.
