simple car seat

Test length: 5 weeks
Parent Panel review by Andrea - review date 5 September 2005
Ease of Use/ Instructions: This seat was easy enough to use and the instructions were simple and clear. You do need to undo the seat belt to get the baby out of the seat so you couldn't leave it fitted. The good thing about the Brevi is that it's slightly larger than other seats in the category but fits a baby till around 14/15 months. The harness can also be adjusted using one hand - very handy when you've got shopping in the other.

Portability: The Brevi Smart is very comfortable to carry, light weight and easy to get in and out of the car. It has ergonomic shaped handles so it doesn't bang into your legs all the time!

Fitting in Car: Easy and straightforward - seatbelt routing is quick and simple.

Comfort/Quality: Callum seemed very comfortable in it, but to me it seemed very shallow. It did come with a head support but a very basic one, you could say that it was good value for money as in my experience you pay for what you get. I think I would pay a little more for something, I felt it looked a little too cheap.

Additional Extras: A major bonus is the small storage compartment at the back of the seat - good for storing small things like keys, tissues etc. It also works as a rocker and comes with extra padding and a sun canopy.

Best Feature: The storage compartment
Worst Feature: The quality
Verdict: A bit basic
