Before you buy the Zapp make sure it covers all your needs. I have had the Zapp as my second push chair for 10 months. There are some strong positives and strong negatives.

Negatives; Seat does not recline, not always a problem for me but at times my 2 year old does look uncomfortable.

No shopping basket, got round that though. Use a stroller net from Boots. This gives me enough room for the raincover and odds and ends.

Can topple over. Can't use it if doing a lot of shopping (my husband likes that bit).

The raincover is flimsy. Not good in windy weather.

Positves; Great colour (pink) and easily seen.

Easy to push one handed.

Folds really small, so very portable. Great for folding under tables in resturants, so out of the way. This is the main reason why I bought the Zapp.

Finally an unexpected bonus, I put the removable seat cover in the washing machine on a low temp wash. Worked a treat, one nice now clean and fresh ready to use buggy.

In the winter I use the matching footmuff, its warm and snug. Also it fits taller toddlers. All in all it's a very useful second buggy but not great for all situations or terrains.

Portability/ foldability and ease of Use: The Quinny Zapp was amazingly compact and arrived in the smallest buggy box I've ever seen! It was easy to unpack and we didn't have to put any awkward parts together - just a few simple clicks and we were able to use it immediately. The Zapp folds up to just over 2 feet long and it even has its own bag so you can carry it easily onto public transport and store safely in the boot of the car. I loved the fact that it was so light and easy to use, it literally glided along the road and Jessica was really comfortable in it. The Zapp doesn't recline but Jessica loved this as she was able to sit in an upright position and see everything. The safety harness was very secure too and I felt very happy with the level of support it provided.

Practicality and Looks: Looks are the best thing about this buggy. It's very stylish and unusual and I had a lot of compliments - especially from parents at Jessica's nursery who asked me where I'd bought it from. The Zapp doesn't have any storage so it was quite awkward for shopping trips where I could have done with the space. However, it probably would have retracted from the overall look of the buggy which is very simple and chic. It's perfect for walks in the park and trips away but I'm not sure I'd use it for a visit to the supermarket.

This is my second stroller and it's a lifesaver. I can't use my big three wheeler in most of my local shops, but with the Zapp, I can shop shop shop!

This is the lightest buggy I've ever used. It's very easy to manouevre and I love the fact that it folds up so small -perfect for parents like us who've got very little space. We're planning to take it on holiday with us this year too - it's going to be so much easier than taking our usual buggy. A brilliant buy.

"all you quinny haters out there please read"
When you buy the quinny zapp i have to agree it is possibly 1 of the most rubbish pushchair but.......When you go into argos and buy a universal hood £20 designed for the quinny that sorts out the hood problem. Now the weight problem if you go on google and enter buggy weights for around £10 you can buy little weights that strap around the buggy anywere you want and they even go on the quinny zapp. Raincover problem argos have a raincover for £10 that covers the whole of the quinny zapp and does not blow off. Shopping basket problem boots sell them for around £5 - £10 there not quinny ones but thgey still do the same thing without the price tag. Once you have all the items your quinny you will love

"Great for in the car only!!"
Pros-

small for shops, car seat can go on, small enough for in the boot of very small car, small enough to fold onto buses.

Cons-

Tips back with oldest child holding on, no where for baby bag, cant fold with baby in one arm, quite heavy to carry when folded, hard to take car seat off on your own.

"Ok but not great"
At 5ft 5" i thought the height of the zapp would be fine for me but im constantly stooping and my back is suffering terribly. It looks good ten times cuter than the maclarens and other buggys out there great for the fashion consious mummy. Its light compared to my huge 3wheeler and chameleon but its still quite heavy to lug around. Im not pleased with my purchase of the zapp but im certainly not unhappy with it, i got it knowing that there was no recline or basket or included extras but i didnt know how small, uncomfortable and irritating it would be. Used only for small runs such as going for milk or posting something. Quite alot of money for something i get so little use out of really.

"OK but should have opted for Petite star zia"
i bought a quinny zapp for my daughter because it was compact when folded and supposedly light weight! It is so not light weight even when its in its carrybag. It is hard to pull the pushchair backwards as it seems heavy on the back wheels. My child can't get very comfortable because it does not recline, and it also feels a bit flimsy. I wish i had opted for the petite star zia as it reclines and still folds small. I would reccomend petite star zia instead of the quinny zapp. Petite star zia actually costs less then the quinny zapp therefore value for money!

"Long love of Zapp"
I bought at Zapp years ago, when my daughter was about 10mths old, she is now 4 1/2. I love the lightweight nature of the zapp. I use a lot of public transport and it fits on and off buses so easily. At first we just used it for short trips as she couldn't sleep easily in it, so I did the nursery run in it. When she got to about 18mths old the sleep part wasn't as important and it was used almost all the time. The weather cover is not great, I had a tall child so she could easily kick it off. When she got to about 2yrs we stopped using it, just put her in waterproofs, but often she would be jumping in and out anyway.

Some people have found they topple, but if you don't balance bags on the back or let children push them I haven't found a problem. My daughter is 4 and wants to push my nephew in it, it would topple, so I just say no, it is my job.

I haven't had a problem with nappy things, as I use a back pack to keep everything in. If I am going for a big walk over uneven ground I take an big 3 wheeler, as the Zapp is a more a city / town pram.

Love the way it folds so small, it means we can keep it in the car and have it to hand. I am keeping hold of mine for numeber two!

"Must have product for Quinny mums"
I have had my Quinny Zapp for a number of years now and I bought a Shopping Basket for my Quinny Zapp from a company called Mama Delight. I have to say and I rarely say this, it is the best thing you could ever buy for your Quinny Zapp.

It's an absolute great product, I don't hang stuff on the handle bars, I just put it in the Shopping Basket that fits below the seat like all other pushchairs.

ive just got the quinny zapp and absolutly love it,i have no problem with the layout including the fact that people have mentioned u cannot lay the child down, it is comfortable enough for the child to fall asleep comfortably relaxed.

"Nippy Zapp or is it!"
I bought the zapp when my son turned 9 months, i had a very small car then and the pram i was using was not practical. At first i thought it was great, but the more i use it the more problems i discover.

-The rain cover is naff. It doesn't stay on in the wind, and it barely fits with the cosytoes on.

-Road noise. Where i live the streets are a bit rough and bumpy, the wheels make hurrendous noise, keeping my son awake.

-Posture. Sitting up all the time is fine, but my son is quite small and his bum slides forward in the seat. He ends up all bunched up in the bottom no matter how tight the straps are.

Positives.

-Small and compact, fits well in the car, plenty of room for shopping.

-One handed pushing, very easy to do for a pushchair with 2 handles.

-Cosytoes keeps my littleone warm and dry with the failing rain cover!

-Accessories, found shopping basket for underneath on ebay for £18, although its not made by Quinny it does the job.

Overall a good buy, great value but wouldn't recpmmend for full time use.

I bought this buggy for my eighteen month old as my awful loola thankfully fell apart. Charmed by its funky looks, I believed that even though it had no storage and even though the rain cover appeared wisp- like and even though its light-weight frame seemed a tad flimsy, beauty would prevail and my youngest son and I would be literally zapping to pick up his brothers on the school run. I was sooooooo wrong.

Problem 1 - wind blew off the rain cover within 5 minutes of stepping out of the door. Impossible to use bag to weigh flapping cover down as the slightest weight caused buggy to tip.

Problem 2 - sleepy boy couldn't get comfortable. Upright seat is in no way conducive to sleep.

Problem 3 - VERY SERIOUS!!! My two elder sons (3 & 5) managed to tip the buggy simply by leaning on the handles. It was so unstable that when Herbie(3) held on to the handle as we were waiting to cross a main road, he managed to tip the buggy by reaching down with his other hand to pick up his dinosaur. It was tipped as I spoke to my eldest son's teacher and again during our eventful journey home. Fortunately, my youngest has a hard head and thus survived in one piece.

Problem 4 - The lack of storage was unbelievably annoying. Although the handles look great, any weight hung from them causes instability. Two hands, three children, one flightly, unstable buggy...you do the maths.

In my opinion, although this buggy looks great, it is potentially very dangerous. I took it back to the shop, showed them how easily my son tipped it. The manager agreed that it is unsuitable for use with a child holding on to the handle and exchanged it for a boring boring, brilliant Maclaren...my fifth and undoubtedly my best buggy to date.

"Great pushchair!"
This pushchair is fantastic! So easy to put up & down.(Can't believe some people found it difficult!) Its also so lightweight and easy to push around.

It folds down so small that it fits in the boot of my Citroen C1!! As for the so called storage problem - I bought the compartment add-on you can get from mama delight! I also found that you can hang a medium sized changing bag on the back!! (without it tipping over).

I would definitely recommend this to anybody who is after an easy to use and cool pushchair!!

"Great little buggy but know what your buying"
I was disappointed to read some of the bad reviews here on the Zapp as I have, and still do, find it excellent. It has its pros and cons the same as any buggy but I think some of the bad reviews are unfair, as they obviously didn’t do their research before buying the buggy. So I have written this review in the hope that it covers all angles although this does make it very long, sorry. My 1st is 20mths and has been in it since 6 months and she still loves it, the Zapp is our only buggy although I tested friends other buggies before buying this.

+: Packs very very small and neatly into zip-up carry bag. Does require two hands but you soon get the knack.

+: Looks great and super choice of funky colours

+: Extremely manoeuvrable, even on rough footpaths although not designed to be used off-road.

+: Good breaks, easy to apply and remove.

+: Great for taking long strides - no chance of hitting your shins.

+: Good upright sitting position with wide visibility for the baby.

+: Comfy straps, which adjust easily as baby grows

+: Works well with the Maxi Cosy Cabriofix car seat sold separately.

+: Good resale value too.

+: Light and easy to push up hills and very comfy and sturdy when compared to other buggies designed to be compact but there are lighter if more basic buggies out there.

+/-: Brakes are not disk brakes so cant be used to slow down the pushchair down hills, never found this a problem and I live on a very steep hill but I would look for this in a very heavy or double buggy so worth mentioning.

+/-: Doesn’t come with baskets - you need to get these yourself separately which I would say gives you average shopping space. You can get bags that go underneath (ebay seems best) and add cheap net buggy bag to back very easily, also when loaded they lower the centre of gravity on the pram (a bonus if you are being naughty and carrying things on the handles).

-: Not designed to put bags on handles. It states very clearly on the instructions and the product description that it is not intended to carry anything on the handles so you can’t say you didn’t know when you bought it. As it happens I do put bags on the handles when doing a big shop but am careful not to overload it (same for any buggy) and that if I let my daughter out of the buggy without her counterweight the buggy will tip over. (Reminder to self: don’t put delicates on the handlebars.) Having said that, I find the use of the shopping bags I mention above packed with the heaviest items helps counterweight bags on the handles very well.

-: Doesn’t recline – I didn’t find this as big a problem as I thought, my daughter sleeps in it without difficulty, but this won’t suit everyone and she would be more comfy if it did recline.

-: Straps are only at one height over the shoulders. This wasn’t a problem for our baby who went from the car seat mode into the chair seat at about 6/7 months (did use the baby head rest cushiony thing from a car seat at first) and the straps did adjust in length small enough for her to be safe but I wouldn’t want to have shaken the buggy upside down with her in it.

-: The hood is not flimsy so much as it doesn’t click open so it doesn’t stay open properly in windy conditions and I would prefer it if it was bigger in order to shelter more of the baby.

-: The rain cover could do with overlapping the sides of the chair more and has inadequate fixings particularly at the feet where there is a tiny bit of Velcro. I have knotted on a bit of shoelace to the Velcro, which I tie in place when needed and this serves but isn’t exactly ideal.

-: Bit fiddly swapping in/out the pushchair seat but I only needed to do this twice to swap into and then out of the car seat mode.

Note: The centre of gravity on the buggy is quite high if you are used to something different but as long as you use the buggy as intended I have found the buggy very stable and much easier to control and manoeuvre than conventional buggies. It’s also very light (I have to slow down for other mums) so I wonder if perhaps this unsettles some people used to much bigger and heavier buggies.

It is perfectly stable and very good at going up and down curbs although going up or down at right angles stops the buggy leaning diagonally because of the 3-wheel configuration. I have never found mine in danger of tipping over but the diagonal angle may unsettle people who are used to their pushchair leaning only forward down a curb.

In summary a great little pushchair sturdy, funky, manoeuvrable and packs very small but it doesn’t recline and the shopping bags must be bought separately.

"not really worth it"
I splashed out on the zapp for my 2yr old to use as we were going on holiday and with three children in the car (step kid as well) initially I was a little worried as it is soooo difficult to put up and down (its impossible if your holding a child or one handed in general) so you would have to put your child somewhere while you were doing it ! also the seat doesnt recline and looks way too small for my 2yr old (who is average sized) the rain cover comes off with the slightest gust of wind or grab from my son and is stupidly flimsy, the hood comes down giving no protection at all and the pushchair tips up easily. Also its really difficult to go down kerbs and over bumps as it tips to the side quite alarmingly all in all I wish I'd never bought it at all. The plus side is it looks nice .

"Wouldnt buy again!"
I bought this once when my son was 5 months. He could sit up alone but wasnt very comfy in the pushchair because the seat is not reclinable. The pushchair is easy enough to use, open, close etc. Theres not much space to hang anything though apart from a very small purse anything heavier than that and the pushchair will fall backwards with the baby in it...as it did with mine. The raincover was so light it didnt have much wind resistance. Would probably ok for an older child, like 1+ as a summer buggy but definatly not made to cope with strong winter weathers. Probably wouldnt buy again as I always carry baby extras and this pushchair has no practical space for that

"Looks good - but not not really worth the money"
This was great in the early days as when the covers are removed you can carry a maxi cosy car seat in it.

However as a pushchair it's really not worth the money. (got ours cheap though!) It feels really unstable and the lack of storage is a really big problem. I have a backpack change bag but still wanted somewhere to put the odd bits and pieces.

I also find it very frustrating that it doesn't recline so your child cannot sleep in it.

It does fold really tiny, which is great if you have a small car boot like we have. However it doesn't fold with the footmuff on it.

"rubbish"
I bought this when my daughter turned 12 months - mostly because of the way it looks. It took me a while to convince my partner but finally he gave in. I put my daughter in it and she looked really uncomfortable, the straps nearly strangled her and because it doesn't lie flat my daughter couldn't sleep and she screamed all the way because she was soo tired but was unable to go to sleep. The woman in the shop said it would mould to their body so they would be comfortable, well that hasn't happend yet. There's no basket so I put some bags on the handle and it tipped up. I also find it really hard to go down high curbs or steps as the pram tips to one side. Personally I think it is dangerous and feel I have wasted my money as does my partner who isn't impressed as I never use it. If you want my advice do not buy ths pram it is dangerous , very impractical and a waste of money

"Great for Zapping into shops"
I bought the Zapp as a second pram for my 9 month DS - as my first pram (Loola) was too big and heavy to keep lifting into the boot of of my car and getting up the steps to my house. I decided on the Zapp and I found it uber stylish and really well engineered. All the components looked and felt expensive (not flimsy like some strollers). I found it easy to put up (and even easier to put down) and it was ideal for taking on holiday (although can't be done with one hand and baby was set on floor). Some reveiwers say that it is too lightweight and you can't put your shopping over the handle bars for fear of toppling - I never had a problem with this. I felt it was sturdy enough (although DS still only 11months old and not trying to get out etc) and a limited number of bags can be place on handle bars. All in all I thought it was a good bargain (got a good deal - 50% discount). However, 2 months later I'm seriously thinking of investing in yet another pram. The major problem with the Zapp is that it can't recline and baby has a really uncomfortable sleep if out and about all day (sleeps for no more than 20 minutes). I went home to Ireland last weekend and although it was great on the plane etc, it was a nightmare with sleeping. Would only recommend for nipping into the shops with a toddler who doesn't need to sleep or to be used as a pram for your car boot.

"I KINDA HAVE TO BATTLE AGAINST IT! HATE IT NOW!"
At first, and like everyone else who's bought this buggy, I fell in love with it's looks. One year has passed and now I hate it. It just never folds EASILY, it really never does...

The rain cover = useless, one kick or a little wind and it BLOWS away or falls over my daughter's face. VELCRO?!? I'd put straps or something that would keep it in place!

Yesterday I just bought both shopping baskets for it from EBAY, the one that goes under and the one that goes in the back, do I need to say they were VERY EXPENSIVE!!??...We'll see how it goes with them, I had to buy them because IT DOES NOT have any storage room at all!! C'mon people, every mom NEEDS storage!! Kids NEED somewhere to put their endless INDISPENSABLE thingies!

Hope the people at QUINNY'S Factory would read this!! Regarding security: It tips, it is unsafe I would say...I always watch my daughter while sitting in it, sometimes when she shakes vigorously it just shakes the whole buggy and I am afraid because of the tipping issue...

Positive sides? It is light, fits in a plane cabin (but you must remove the wheels), I travel often so not being so spacey comes in handy. Lovely color mauve I got, chic, calls everyone's attention.

"very good 'boot' pushchair"
I like my Zapp.

I bought it on a bit of a Whim, then read all the reviews and seriously thought about taking it back, it was still in the box. I didn't and I am glad I didn't.

The first time we needed to use it, we were going away, it proved to be very useful straight away.It folds small (though not light). It has a raincover. It is easy to push one handed. It has a sunshade. All great!

The only real features which are missing are storage and reclining seat. However, I think those that have had issues with these two things have missed the point, a bit, imo. I don't think the Zapp is meant as a main pushchair, I think it is meant as a holiday compromise pushchair, or for keeping in the boot for occasional use.

I have used this on a short break and it was fab, did not fill the boot but still meant we had a decent pushchair. I keep it in the car so that if I go somewhere on a whim, for example the Garden Centre, I have something to push my DS in.

I have still not worked out how to fold it smoothly and it won't go in the bag with the sunshade on but, that aside I like this buggy :) I think my only real gripe is that it seems a bit over priced, but, if you do a lot of traveling then it makes it better value for money.

"looks cool"
I bought a Quinny Zapp for my 18 month daughter and she loved being sat right up and being able to see everything, it folds up really small which is great for travelling, its easy to manouvre and it looks great. The down sides I found though are the raincover isn't very well designed, it doesn't stay on if windy, and velcro fastenenings not very effective if they get too wet! Also doesn't recline so child not very comfy if they fall asleep. Also my daughter grew out of it within 6 months and the seat also frayed so I had to buy a new pushchair after about 7 months. Lastly, it's not good for shopping as it doesnt take much extra weight to tip over.

Overall, I would say this is a fantastic pram for travelling but rubbish for everyday use.

"Holiday Buggy"
I was lucky enough to receive this popular buggy as a gift. But, I hardly use it!!! I use my Graco Travel System- it beats it hands down!.

The Quinney is SO lightweight it feels unsafe. It is so flimsy!.

There is zero storage and nothing can be hung on the handle bars (You have to struggle with your Changing bag over your shoulder-boo!).

This pushchair is USELESS over bumpy terrain- therefore only for use on pavement and around the shops (but you don't then have anywhere to put your shopping!!)

The only thing going for the 'Zapp' is that it looks great- which is far down the checklist when you have your childs safety in mind.

The ONLY time I would recomend this pushchair would be for going on holiday- it can easily be folded up into a compact bag.

"i love mine"
to be honest i never liked the three wheeler buggys before as they are normally really big but i love my zappits bright pink witch is great but also easy to manover even with one hand the large seat means my little girl dosent look sqaushed and she can sleep in hers i brought a basket of ebay so shopping not a problem there only 2 things i would change that the rain cover as velcro no good and that 3rd button is awful hard to get up but i still love it

"Quinny Naff"
I recently bought the Quinny Zapp and to be honest I wish I hadn't bothered. The straps almost strangle my little boy! I took him for a nice long walk in it and when we got home he had red marks round his face because they are too high and you can't adjust them. They say its supposed to be easy to collapse but I struggled so much that I have now resorted to leaving my old Graco pushchair in my car for when I go out and the Quinny stays at home for local use which completely defeats the object of having one.....If you haven't bought one yet then all I can say is DON'T BOTHER!!!

"alright but wish id never bothered"
As I have 3 children who are 3, 2 and 1, I have a double buggy with buggy board and a single. I originally bought my Zapp after watching it for months on ebay for my 3 year old for when me and my mum take the children to nursey ( a 2 mile walk each way!!!)I finally got my husband to agree, but now I wish I'd gone for something else. It is not good for a 3 year old, I feel as if it's going to break with him sat in it and as a result I hate using it.

On the plus side you always need a single buggy and it is alright for my other 2. The no lie back seat for my one year old means that it looks really uncomfortable, but it still comes in handy. I now tend to put him on his buggy board to go to nursery.

Overall, the Zapp is very small, light weight and easy to push though it took me ages to figure out how to put it up and down. No basket is a big problem when just nipping to the shop with one child!! I wish I'd never bothered!!!

"Zapped Off"
I've had my quinny zapp for just over a year and at first I thought it was great. It was taken on an inter-railing holiday around Germany and was fantastic (even though the top of the brake pedal fell off). However one year on and I am fed up with it:

a. nothing, absolutely nothing can hang on the handlebars. I bought stroller weights which did help.

b. the hood doesn't stay up at all. useless for keeping the sun off and worse in the rain.

c. the rain cover. when we bought the pushchair my son was wearing an all in one rain suit so the cover wasn't an issue until recently.. because the hood won't stay up the cover is constantly flopping down and i have had to pull it off his face on several occasions. How this pushchair passed safety regulations is beyond me.

d. the right wheel at the back has come off three times now! easy to put on again but annoying.

overall i would not recommend this pushchair at all. it was useful for its lightness and it was very easy to collapse and expand but the problems I found with it far outweigh its benefits.

"Quinny ZAPP"
We purchased the Quinny Zapp after my husband had seen his friend's child in one. We thought it was a good idea for our trip to France as it would save on room space. At the time our son wasn't two and the pushchair is recommended up to age 4. We had previous pushchairs with our 1st child - Mamas and Papas/McClaren and had no problems. With this we have a fear of tipping. Nothing can be placed on the handlebars because it is so light weight 'wording in book for a quick shop, In the past it has tipped up with my son in when I was in a supermarket and also when I walked away for a moment to see my son to his school line. I feel though my son is now nearly 2 1/2 he is too big for it. I feel there is a design fault. When I have looked around at other children in the Zapp they tend to be under 2. We have not used the ZAPP since July because of a tipping incident. We have complained to the store, we have gone to Trading Standards because we feel it is not safe. It is a good looking pushchair but please don't buy on looks. Buy McClaren

"Not for everyone"
I really liked the look of this buggy for ages and pestered my husband for months until he eventually agreed to buying one. Now, we both wish we hadn't bothered.

My main reason for buying this buggy is that it is so lightweight, but that is now just the very reason why I don 't like it. The whole thing just seems way too light. I am constantly worried that it is going to fall over backwards and seriously harm my daughter that I won't ever take my hand of the thing! Also not so good being so light in this weather - the wind has taken it a few times. Granted it's not blown up in the air or taken it down the other end of the street or anything that serious but it is slightly concerning!

I also have to agree with everyone about the straps - they're up around my poor daughter's ears!

And as for ease of use - have to say it's not exactly the easiest. That 3rd button at the bottom is an absolute pain to put up!

The lack of storage is obviously an issue as it is with everyone; why they couldn't just include a tiny little basket underneath no-one knows.

On a positive note - I still think it is a nice-looking, stylish buggy and I do like the seat position, apart from the straps being so high, my daughter looks really comfortable. As for the seat not reclining - can see why that would get to some people but not an issue for me as my daughter refuses to sleep when out and about in any buggy anyway!

I think the main thing with this buggy is that is suits some people and not others - I'm kinda gutted that I have found so many faults with it to be honest!

"style on 3 wheels!"
I bought the Quinny Zapp in February this year when my little girl was 12 months. I must admit it was mainly the 'look' I went for. I have used it almost every day since and I love it. It's easy to manovre, light weight and VERY stylish! The only thing is of course, no shopping basket and this can be a pain. Oh, and the rain cover is a bit on the skimpy side if your baby is large as it is easy to kick off (it only fastens with velcro?!)But on the whole worth the money.

"the zapp is fab"
Having a small car and only limited space to play with in my boot, the zapp is fantastic as it folds down to almost nothing. I bought the Orange Zapp twelve months ago when my daughter was around eight months old, as I was sick of pushing a Mamas and Papas juggernaut about.At the time Lucy was a little too small for it even though she is a tall child, however we still use it now and it is still going strong. The only complaints I have with it are the raincover which is a bit useless, its a bit bumpy on rough terrain, you can't really hang anything on the handles without it tipping over and that it doesn't recline, but you can't have everything can you. For the ease of use and space saving issue, I have put up with these minor faults as it is a fab little buggy.

"Biggest waste of money"
I bought this buggy for my 3rd child as I loved how it looked and the fact it was lightweight and compact. I struggled for 3mnths before selling it!

Problems

1.My son was a good sized 7mnth old when we bought it - but the harness straps, were far too high ( and unadjustable)so I ended up safety pinning them at the back to stop him wriggling underneath them!

2. The raincover does not fit - one kick of the feet and it is off - whoever thought velcro was a good fastening for this type of thing needs to find a new job in design.

3. The whole pram is highly unstable, especially when going up and down kerbs.

4. No storage for anything.

5. No lie back seat position - all my children have needed some sleep in the day until they were 2 1/2- my youngest could not sleep in this buggy, even when he was crying with tiredness.

6. Not as easy to fold down as you would think - I had to turn the whole thing upside down to press down the final button needed to collapse it.

Having had 3 children over the last 6 years I've seen pram trends change dramatically. I have to say that you cannot beat the Maclaren Techno XT for the 'about town buggy'. Steer clear of the Quinny Zapp - it has to be the biggest disappointment I have ever seen.

"Hand luggage or hold!"
I bought my fabulous lime green zapp a couple of months ago. It's my second pram (wheel snapped off micralite!) The reason I bought the Zapp was so that I could take it onboard as it's supposedly hand luggage size/weight. However, having measured it, its only by removing the wheels that it fits most flight specifications. Saying that, we managed to sneak it onboard on excel airlines in march and easyjet from italy yesterday. Although they took it from us on the outbound trip. I really object to prams being put in the hold. If anyone has witnessed how the baggage handlers throw around the cases and prams (saw one thrown from a height onto a luggage truck yesterday!!)they would never let go of their pram again! My Zapp attracted a lot of attention in Italy and our boy just loves it!! Going to check out the shopping basket on ebay now. How exciting!

"Zapp shopping basket"
Attention Quinny Zapp owners and would-be-buyers. There is now a custom-made storage/shopping basket designed exclusively for the Quinny Zapp in push-seat mode. I ordered mine from a British dealer on eBay since none was available in Canada. This removes one of the two only negative features of the Zapp: the lack of a shopping basket.

I was recently looking for a back-up/travel stroller or umbrella stroller. Our every day stroller (a Zooper Boogie is fabulous but quite heavy and bulky, and therefore impractical to travel with long-distance) and was hesitating between purchasing the Quinny Zapp or the MacLaren Volo stroller. By contrast to the Volo, I though the lack of storage in the Zapp was a real drawback, especially since the Zapp cannot support the weight of parcels on its handles without serious tip-over risk. However, after doing some research online, I discovered to my great joy that a shopping basket was indeed available for the Quinny Zapp. I was thrilled. This makes the Zapp an ALMOST perfect umbrella stroller. Now if the manufacturer could only do something about the lack of a reclining seat. In all fairness, the MacLaren Volo does not have this feature either. That said, my 10 month old is very comfortable in the ample Zapp seat. In its single position, it is sufficiently reclined that she can fall asleep in it. The Zapp storage/shopping basket is practical, easy to install, attractive and can accommodate a surprising amount of stuff. I should point out that the Zapp storage/shopping basket was not cheap (about £34 + shipping), particularly since I was ordering from Canada. To put things in perspective, that's almost half of the price I paid for the actual stroller in Canada. The basket also seems to be a really hot ticket item on eBay which means that the bidding is somewhat inflated. That said, it was worth every last penny! Storage in the Zapp is no longer an issue. In my opinion, this makes the Quinny Zapp the closest thing to the perfect lightweight/umbrella stroller on the market.

"my zapp"
I brought this buggy a couple of day,s ago cause i really liked the look of it mind you i must say that it,s not as good as my maclaren tehcno xt. It is smaller. I,ve brought it to take on holiday but i,m starting to have second thoughts. The fact it has no storage is a downside with my maclarean i have so much. I have three boy,s and they give every thing to me ie jumpers coats sunglasses hats etc but i have no where to put them so they have to hold them. The other downside is it doesn,t lay down i,ve seen other buggy,s with little straps on the back that you unclip and it lays down not alot but it lays down why couldn,t they have done this with this one. The last down side is putting the thing down my husband can,t do it so he can,t go out in the car on his own with the baby cause he can,t put it up or down i have showed him plenty of time,s but when i get it wrong he follows that. i read some where that it was easy so i was expecting to just pick it up and it would unfold like my maclaren but it doesn,t you have to press this button and that button. I did finally get the handle,s to stay up but couldn,t work out the rest after 20min,s of trying to work out why it would,nt come up i finally got it up but i still keep forgetting even now. Out of all the buggy,s i,ve had it is the hardest.

I,ve also noticed that you can,t put any other accessories on the buggy ie sun shade etc the buggy will only fit quinny product,s which is a bit of a ripe of when you look at the price of said items.It also has low down handles that i guess if you were a tall person could be quiet back breaking.

I paid the same price for my maclaren and my zapp if i had to choose i would choose my maclaren.If i had a small car and small house and didn,t use a buggy that much i would choose the zapp.

"Brilliant!"
We already have a Quinny Buzz, Maxi-Cosi car seat and Dreami carrycot, all of which are great, but we needed something more compact for going away. Yesterday we bought a Zapp, in bright pink and I'm truly impressed. It took a bit of practice before I could easily fold and unfold it but it wasn't that difficult. It will be fantastic for short hops to the shops, school run and weekends away with Izzy sitting in the car seat. And the colour is gorgeous!

I have to say I think it's a shame it doesn't recline. Surely with a bit more planning at the design stage this could have been done, but our daughter won't use it as a pushchair until she's much older, so this won't affect us too much.

It's not as light as I expected it to be, and it still looks pretty big to me folded up in its bag, but we wanted something that would fit in a bike trailer (as well as our baby) and it certainly does that.

All in all, a seriously nice bit of kit. I love it!

"looks the part!"
Looks very stylish and is indeed very light weight. Its ideal for walking long distance as the longer handles means you dont crouch down. However I dont think its such a whizz to put up they certainly make it sound alot easier than in reality. It does not recline so my 9 month snoozes in a very uncomfortable position. The rain cover is ok but once again quite fiddly to put on. Yet overall I do love it though I did not buy it and really dont think its worth the money. We also have a 3 wheeler Gracco which is very practical and excellent value for money!

"Very concerned about this pram"
We purchased the Zapp before our baby was borne as it was lghtweight and manouverable. This would help us get on an off London public transport. We have been using it with the Maxi-cosi insert.

Whilst the pram does fold down easily in buggy mode it is impossible for the maxi-cosi to be removed by one person as the literature claims. In addition we have found the pram VERY unstable and it has tipped over easily on several occassions, once on the bus when the vehicle took a corner. Dangerous enough when the baby is in a protective car seat insert but even more so if he was in the fabric buggy.

This is such a concern that we are now purchasing another pram.

The Zapp is also useless on anything put the smooth pavement.

The Zapp is good as a travel stroller or if you only have to go short distances in town but I would not recommend it at all for general purpose applications.

"My Zapp"
Excellent little buggy i have found over the last 12 months of owning one. I originally bought it just for our holiday to Ibiza but loved it so much whilst out there that its become in permanant use since being home. My 2 year old loves it and practically lived in it whilst we we're in Ibiza and still does now we're home! The only real downsides are it can be awkward to unfold, and the raincover doesn't appear to fit properly and seems to be a waste of time. Other than those, its great to push, carry, take everywhere even in my case where i have 5 children. Its a must have buy.

"Must have for toddlers"
I love this buggy as it is light which helps as my ds is a chubby little thing! Its easy to fold and folds into next to nothing! so shopping and the buggy can fit in! The raincovers are compact and affective. The only drawback is that it doesn't recline! saying that my ds will fall asleep in it and sleep for up to an hour but he does look uncomfortable i think! but as my mum pointed out he wouldn't sleep if he wasn't comfortable! I think its the coolest looking buggy aswell and spills wipe off easily. It is quite pricey compared to other buggys but no other buggy is as light or as compact as the zapp! I would recommend this product to mums who have a car and are always on the go!

"Very Nippy"
Lovely to look at and to push around. Does fold up quite small. But is it just me or is it a bit hard to get the thing to fold up? I have to really struggle to get that back widget pushed in and collapse the thing. Not as light as I was hoping. I wanted something to go on and off planes and buses. It really needs packing away in its (very smart) holdall to go on the plane. I still love it but when I go to Berlin for a city break I'll need to get a cheap buggy from asda to do the run around the public transport.

"fab for toddlers"
I love my Quinny Zapp, I bought it a few months ago after a few pushchairs and buggies that were all very big and heavy for going to town and back. It's so light and easy to push around the shops.

The only thing is you have to be careful hanging bags on handles as it could tip very easily. Although it doesn't lay back my daughter sleeps fine in it. wouldnt be without it now and I would definately recommend it for older babies and toddlers.

This is a great buggy for nipping around town, the only downsides being the single position seat and the lack of places to put the shopping. My 13 month year old loves the really upright position and the cosy toes is really lovely and snuggly. We bought this when he was about 10 months old and I wouldn't really have put him in it any earlier as the straps would be very loose for a smaller baby.

"My Quinny"
When my Daughter was born, there wasn't really much to choose from in prams, so I ended up with a Graco Excursion 3 wheeler travel system. which, at the time was he height of fashion. But, having a small car, I found it took all my boot space. When my Daughter turned 6 months, I was delighted when I saw the Quinny Zapp, not only did it look fantastic but it was small!!! Bingo! So I rushed out and bought it, along with the changing bag and foot muff. I was sooooo made up when I got it home, a lovely Mauve colour, looks great, nice height, easy to push.....I was so excited. Then the cracks in the "Quinny and I" relationship started to show. Firstly, you can't recline the seat, My daughter was very frustrated when she couldn't get comftable enough to go to sleep whilst we were out. Secondly, when you're caught in a bout of rain, you try putting the rain cover on?! Thirdly, the straps. I am sure they are too big for a 6 month old. I found them to be very long, even when they are at their shortest. I also wouldn't try shopping with it, there is no storage, and I am sure it would tip over if you put your bags on the handles! Then there is the ease of use. Well, I don't know about anyone else but 9 months on and I still cant put it up or down without it tipping over and getting scratched! So, now 9 months on from buying it... Well, it looks tatty (and not just the frame, even though it hasn't had much use). My Daughter still can't sleep in it. The footmuff drowns her as do the straps and I hate it! Now I have a bigger car and I wish I had chosen something less fashionable and more practical such as Mothercare's own pink buggy! But, Im the mug who spent over £200 on a buggy and accessories that would have been expensive at a quater of the price!

Its a good pushchair for nipping out places, but you couldn't have it as your only pushchair unless you never go out for very long. Not exactly comfortable, the little ones head is in danger of falling down everytime he drops off to sleep. And where do you put the shopping!? Im not sure why they couldnt make this pushchair with a shopping basket at the bottom, it would be so easy to do! basically its a lovely pushchair and would be perfect if it had just a small shopping basket and would recline just a bit to be comfortable for the baby to sleep in. I'm a bit disappointed really.

"Brilliant find!"
This buggy is just brilliant. I've used it with the Maxi Cosi seat for the last 2 months and is perfect for travelling. The best thing is if your little one is asleep in the car you don't need to take him out - you can just pop it on the wheels and go. My little boy sleeps really well in the Maxi Cosi and the buggy is so small it fits in the car easily - and there's no problems getting into shops or anywhere - it looks great too and everyone always comments about it when we're out and about.

It's so much easier than my big 3 wheeler. I would recommend this buggy to anyone who travels a lot.

I love, love, love this buggy! I live in a flat so in order to go out I have to lug a pram, pushchair or whatever up and down a flight of stairs. After I read the reviews on the Quinny Zapp I knew this was the buggy for me! How right I was! This beautiful and stylish buggy is so light, so easy to steer, it's like heaven on earth. My mother loves to push it and she has arthritis but manages it with ease. I'm currently using this buggy in conjunction with a Maxi Cosi Cabrio car seat for my son, Josh, who is 5 weeks old and the amount of comments that I get about the buggy are amazing. They range from 'ooo that's posh' to 'wow that's very space-age!'.

So I love this buggy and would recommend it to anyone who has to regularly carry a buggy up and down stairs, or who have small cars.

It's of excellent quality and the price really is a bargain for what you get.

One small teeny downside...no storage for shopping but hey in order to keep the ease of this buggy, I'll use a rucksack to carry my shopping!!

"It fits in the boot of a mini!!!"
My husband first spotted the Zapp, he is a design engineer and was impressed with it, also our second car is a BMW Mini and the Zapp fits in the boot - in fact I think that it is the only stroller that does.

Not only is the Zapp small enough to fit in the Mini it was also small enough to fit in the roof box when we went on holiday, freeing up valuable boot space.

Using the Zapp around our local market town is invaluable as it is easy to manoeuvre and my daughter loves the upright position.

The carry bag is sturdy and it's nice that the rain cover is included.

The only downfall is the lack of a storage net rendering it useless for really big shopping trips.

"5 prams later, found the zapp. The best pram ever. A joy to take out. turns on a pin."
I bought the Zapp because we were going to Australia for 5 weeks, the appeal being, it folded very small and came in its own bag, which meant it could be taken on the plane and put in the overhead locker. There was no hanging about holding a baby and trying to grab cases. As soon as we were off the plane the buggy was up (so easy) and we were off to collect the luggage. The only problem I had was the handles started to peal (because of the heat)and the writing came off the side of the buggy (I put bags over the handle bars which rubbed the writing away). When I returned they changed the handles for me and also gave me a new chassis with the writing back in place. Free of charge. Excellent buggy if you have a small car or convertible with a tiny boot,it even fits easily between the seats leaving your car boot free. A must buy, for anybody with a baby over 6 months, its a fun pram, and so practical. A word of warning, don't put bags over the handles of this buggy as it is very easily tipped with it being so light weight.

"great for those lacking in space"
this pushchair is excellent and you can use it with the maxi cosi first stage car seat, we already had a mothercare delux car seat and it had the same fittings as the maxi cosi and it fits in perfectly, although u have to take the material out of the buggy to use the ca seat and attachments this is fine when the baby is small as there is no recline on the buggy. it folds so small, so small in fact that i can fit an urban double three wheeler in the boot of my ford focus as well as this buggy so i am prepared for whoever i go out with. It is so light weight an essential after having had a c section. Glides along and spins on a pin. Now my son is nearly 7 months he can sit in it happily and he loves it to bits as he can see everything that is going on, he has even gone to sleep in it sat upright so i would say it must be pretty comfortable. The rain cover is tiny and folds into the front of my handbag with ease. The only down side is the lack of storage space but having said that i have had buggys where you fill up the bottom it drags on the floor so you end up without anyways.
