Sun hats

Babies and children should wear a hat all the time that they are in the sun. The broader the rim a hat has, the more protection it will give. A particularly good style for young children is the ‘Legionnaire’ hat - a peaked cap with a square of fabric at the back that gives protection to the vulnerable ears, neck and shoulders.
