What do these awards actually mean?
Our Awards
What does it take to impress us?! Well, there are 5 ways a product can
win an award:
Best Seller
Best Sellers are simply that. We analyze how many of each product are
sold each month and if a product consistently makes the top ten over a
3 month period then it receives this award. What this means is that you
can purchase with confidence in the knowledge that products don't get
to be in our top ten best sellers list unless a lot of people have owned
and enjoyed them.
Members Choice
We have over 2,000 member and parent panel reviews on babyworld. We don't
edit these reviews but we do monitor them. Opinions can vary widely on
any given product. As an example check out the 18 reviews of the Bugaboo
Cameleon. A product will receive a Members choice award if it consistently
receives a score of at least 8/10 in its parent panel or member reviews.
These products have really earnt their award as they have been put through
their paces by a large group of very discerning mums and dads.
Mums love Award
There are certain products that parents consider so hot they simply can't
get enough of them. It's these products that receive constant rave reviews
over time that receive a much-coveted 'Mums love' award.
Best buy and Best value Awards
Each month we ask at least 5 mums from our Parent Panel to test all of
the items in our Big tests - they use the products in their own homes
for a significant period of time and then we ask them to rate them, out
of 10. The product that has the highest overall score wins the 'Best buy'
the product that scores highest for Value for money wins the 'Best value'award.
You can also affect the overall score by adding your own review, each
time a review is added the score adjusts up or down accordingly.
When you see one of these logos on a review or shop page, you know that
it has been tried and tested by a group of parents who rate it very highly.

About our Product reviews
Our review pages are
full of fast moving, un-edited reviews from parents who give a realistic
and accurate picture of how a product performs so that you can see if
it's right for you and your baby before you part with your cash. Add a
review, day or night (we know you don't sleep) on any product of your
choice. Once you've added your review, it will appear instantly live on
the site so other parents can read about your experiences.
We do not edit any of these reviews - they come straight from
exhausted, hard-working parents who are very keen to pass on their wisdom

Our Big tests
- every month we organise for a range of comparable products (eg car seats,
highchairs) to be sent out to a group of parent panel members for testing.
These products are put through their paces by each individual panel member
over several weeks, sometimes months at a time so that they can get to
know the products thoroughly. We believe the best opinions result from
in-depth experience and seeing how products compare to others in the same
category - that's why our big tests are the most thorough and reliable
on the web.
Why opinions mean prizes!
Add your opinion on any product and it could well be picked by our Consumer
editor as the Product Review of the Month. It doesn't matter if you've
loved or loathed something, if we think it offers good detail relating
