Mums' verdict
"The jar was fuss free to use and had a good, smooth consistency easy to tempt a newly weaned baby with, it smelt ok and seemed palatable and fairly priced. The dessert however was a bit more controversial. One very fussy 10 month old among us absolutely loved this and ate every bit which impressed her mum but when we tried it ourselves it seemed really sweet. This might explain why the babies liked it but mums with early weaners were worried it might set up a trend for a sweet tooth. There also seemed to be a lot of added extras in it and we weren't convinced we needed or wanted them all. The packet mix did not seem good value for money - quite expensive for a relatively small quantity."

Babies' verdict
"I hadn't had much orange before because a health visitor had told mum it wasn't great for babies but I really liked the Orange and Banana Burst a lot because it was smooth and comforting to eat. In fact we all found it really quite yummy and thought it could become an all time favourite, if mum can be persuaded that it's any good for us. The savoury was fine but I'd prefer more of that pud!"
