Our Surrey buggy brigade take a well-earned break

This month's panel have spent the past three months putting six monitors through a set of strict testing criteria. Here they give their honest opinions on the features and benefits of each model on test.

Cosatto Hula - 8/10

Standard lightweight buggy complete with accessories

Price: £79.99
T:
0870 050 5900
Supplier:
www.cosatto.com

'Light, easy and fuss-free'

Its bright and cheery style is great for summer, it's super-light with an easily adjustable harness, lots of different recline positions and a pull-down hood that provides extra sun protection for your child. It also comes with a rain cover and insect net that's perfect for trips abroad

It's not particularly sturdy and according to our panel 'starts to rattle after a few good uses'. The shopping basket is also tiny so not great for shop-a-holics!

Graco Mojo - 7/10

Lightweight buggy suitable from birth

Price: £89.99
T: 0844 412 1212
Supplier: www.graco.co.uk

'Comfy and compact'

Suitable from birth, it has a full recline and comfy headrest for smaller babies. The calf support allows your tot to rest their legs and the handy window in the hood means you can see your baby whilst on the move. It also has a spacious storage basket and a practical carry handle.

Our panel felt it was better suited to shorter people as the handles aren't that long. It was also one of the heaviest on test so not ideal if you live in a top floor flat!

Babyworld Shop

'Superb buggy that ticks all the right boxes'

Fantastic portability, the Quest is packed with features including - 4 position recline, compact fold, carry handle, flexible sunshade, viewing window and extendable leg rests. Our panel also liked the height of the handles and felt it would be great for people of all heights.

It wasn't as light as some of the other models on test and it's only suitable from 3 months, meaning you'd have to buy an alternative buggy or pram from birth.

It's suitable from birth and comes complete with chest pads, reversible 'snuggle me' for extra warmth, adjustable leg rest and recline mechanism. There's lots of storage with a deep shopping basket and pocket in the hood, whilst the lockable swivel wheels make it a dream to push.

Silver Cross POP - 8/10

Lightweight buggy with quality at its core

Price: £89.99
Available from: www.silvercross.co.uk
T
: 023 8066 2600

Excellent quality with a remarkable recline

The two position seat unit is suitable from three months and the whole chassis stands alone when folded. Chunky rear wheels give it a stylish edge over other buggies and allow it to tackle rough terrain with ease.

It's only suitable from 3 months and can be quite fiddly at first. Our panel felt this was one you either 'love or hate' but loved its off-road capability and good looks.
