Once your child becomes mobile and begins to explore, home safety becomes a critical issue. There are many safety aids available that can be fitted to prevent accidents. It is important that these are put in place before your child reaches the crucial stage when they are needed.

However, although you can safety-proof your own home, there will be many places you go to which aren’t as safe. It’s vital, therefore, for you to be aware of possible dangers and to teach your toddler about them right from the start, and continue to reinforce the message over and over.
