A good place to look for names of local printers is in the waiting room of your antenatal department at the hospital. Most companies can turn them around quite quickly. Styles vary from printed paper designs of A5 size with illustrations of babies on them featuring blank spaces for the name, date of arrival and weight of the baby, to handmade credit-card sized designs announcing the details and decorated with a silk ribbon. Some parents wait until the first photograph of their baby has been developed and make their own cards. If you have a digital camera you can design your own electronic announcement with picture and e-mail it to your friends.
