Here the professional mum photographers share photos of their kids!

Christina Prout

Husband Greg with my sons Tyler aged 5 and Toby aged 3

'Taking this shot wasn't easy - I won't lie to you! I just made it fun for them, played around first, and didn't make a big thing out of staying still.

But I made them feel they were doing something brilliant by posing like that, lots of praise!

The main thing is never to get frustrated: just stay positive and the children will enjoy it more.'

Jennifer Henry

Jennifer says for the kissing shot that: 'I tend to be quite lucky in getting my children (and others!) to do as I ask in photos.

I think it's down to the fact that I am like a five-year-old with them - I get down to their level and play with them and this naturally makes them want to co-operate with me.

This really helped here with Evie and Megan - they were happy to have a cute kiss for this photo because I wasn't bossing them around and being authoritarian.'

More specifically with the outdoors shot: 'I prefer taking natural photos.

Evie and Megan reacted much more naturally running around outside rather than posed in a studio and I prefer shots like this as a mum anyway!'

Jennifer's husband took the one of them running along the beach together - she had already set the settings and he had his instructions about how to get that perfect shot!

Mimika Clooney

These photos feature Mimika's children Shelley and Camden

'It can be difficult to get children to smile and at and pose for the camera.

I’ve learnt to sing silly songs, pull funny faces and dance to distract them, which is what I did in these photos - it relaxed them enough for them to co-operate and get a good shot.'

Susan Porter-Thomas

Jamie dressed as Father Christmas

Susan says: 'The rusk was actually to look like Father Christmas having a snack... but I must admit that I used the treat as an incentive for Jamie to behave and it made him look so cute!'

'In the black and white pictures, I faced Sam into the light on one side, which gave great shadows on the other for an interesting contrast.'
