JANE: 'Our blue-eyed baby was a miracle'
Then, in August 2000, our dreams finally came true when we got a positive result after our second frozen embryo transfer. It had taken seven long difficult years, but at last we were to have our very precious baby.
Enduring infertility treatment was all worth it when baby Hollie came along. We were blessed when we had her. This beautiful little person with the bluest eyes and fair hair was truly our miracle. She's brought such new meaning into our lives.

After two laparoscopy operations to find out why I wasn't able to conceive, we were told that our only hope would be to have IVF.
We endured two cycles of IVF and had a frozen embryo transfer (FET), which sadly ended in failure. At first we were overjoyed to find out I was pregnant, so the utter disappointment of miscarrying was terribly upsetting. Although it was very early on in the pregnancy, it really took its toll on me, especially as we knew it was going to be twins.
Then, in August 2000, our dreams finally came true when we got a positive result after our second frozen embryo transfer. It had taken seven long difficult years, but at last we were to have our very precious baby.
The pregnancy itself went fairly well although I did suffer with high blood pressure and a few other complications. But as far as I was concerned, as long as our baby was safe, it would all be worth it.
I finally gave birth to Hollie on 9th April 2001, after being induced and then having an episiotomy and forceps delivery.
This beautiful little person with the bluest eyes and fair hair was truly our miracle, she has brought such a new meaning to our lives its hard to put it into words.
We have recently undergone another frozen embryo transfer and now have to wait for our first pregnancy test. We would love another baby and Hollie would make a great sister. But whatever happens, all the tears, worry and heartache were all worth it. We were blessed when we had her.
