2 children each day in the UK die in their homes and each year more than 500,000 children aged 4 and under need hospital treatment following accidents in their home.
So what happens when I book a childproofing survey of my home? You complete the form and someone from Childalert will call you to arrange a suitable time for the survey to be carried out. At this point you will also be able to ask questions and there is no obligation to have an appointment should you not wish to do so. By appointment, a Childalert Childproofing expert will visit your home and conduct a safety survey with you, pointing out all the potential dangers. During the survey we will give you written advice on how best to make your home more child friendly. The survey includes all rooms in your home and can also include your garden, balcony, outhouses and garages. After the visit you receive a full written quotation with a personalised list of safety equipment relevant to your needs. Most safety items will not be difficult to fit but they do require someone handy with a screwdriver and drill. Childalert can arrange the fitting to be done for you through our recommended and local fitters. While parents want their home to be as safe as possible for their children, they dont want to spoil their homes appearance. Childalert has selected a range of child safety equipment that is purposeful, smart and as unobtrusive as possible. All Childalert recommended equipment is BS (or equivalent) safety approved. The Childalert Childproofing survey costs £150 anywhere in the UK. Pay nothing until the survey has been completed.
