Favoured breast
Many babies favour one breast over the other. While this is no problem
for your baby, if you want to encourage him to feed better from his less
favoured breast you can try what is called the rugby ball
method.
If, for example, your right breast is his favourite, to feed from the left, hold him in
the same position as you would to feed him from your right breast. To do this you will
need to support his bottom with a pillow under your left arm and hold your right breast
with your left hand.
This method of feeding can also be more comfortable if you have had a
Caesarean birth.
