What do you honestly think of Valentine's Day?

Most of you keep your sense of humour about February 14th. Over 84% said it's fun but shouldn't be taken too seriously, while 9% admitted to gently prompting their partner with indiscreet displays of post-it notes around the house. Only 5% dismissed the day as shameless commercialism… but let's be honest, who wouldn't feel all tingly receiving a gorgeous bunch of flowers at work?

Does your partner remember you on Valentine's Day?

We're glad to hear that nearly 70% of partners always remember the 14th of Feb. 16% sometimes forget and 7% need a gentle kick up the pants. A small 4% never have a clue as to why you're as red as your friend's 36 roses when they stroll in empty-handed.

Did you know?
People in the Middle Ages believed that the first unmarried person of the opposite sex you met on the morning of Feb 14th would become your spouse. Anyone know where George Clooney lives then…?

How do you normally celebrate Valentine's Day at home?

Over two-thirds of you receive romantic cards, which is no surprise considering Valentine's Day is second only to Christmas as being a big card-sending occasion. Nearly one billion are sent each year! The second biggest way of celebrating (42%) was a candlelit dinner at home and 'an early night' (wink). Interestingly, 16% of you said you celebrate your love for each other on less commercial days, which rules out just about every public holiday!
