Planning
a night in on Valentine's Day
Cant afford a babysitter? Well help plan your evening
in
We know you are trying hard to remember the romance and we know how hard it is with a
new baby! So weve got a plan to help you celebrate Valentines Day after the
baby is in bed.
-
First of all, choose your food with care. By the time baby is in
bed it probably won't be long before you want to flop out yourself,
so something simple but tasty is the order of the day: steak with
a light sauce perhaps, or how about a creamy mushroom and potato gratin
for vegetarians?
If you're lucky enough to have a little more time on your hands, why
not try one of these romantic dinner menu ideas from Feel Good UK:
a meaty
meal, a fishy
feast or a veggie
delight?
-
Drink. If youre breastfeeding you might want to steer clear
of alcohol, in which case, check out babyworlds guide
to non-alcoholic drinks.
-
If you can drink though, push the boat out a little, how about that
champagne you bought for the babys birth but felt too weak to
drink?
-
Ambience. Adding a little valentine flavour is easy: use a pretty
tablecloth, light some candles and drape some red ribbon over the
table. Hey presto: Valentines dinner! Dont forget to leave
space on the table for your baby monitor!
