Organic baby foods on test

ORGANIC babyfood is becoming increasingly popular in the UK, with a range of brands on offer and even supermarkets getting in on the act.

One in three babies in Britain now eats organic babyfood at least some of the time, so babyworld decided to do a taste test, to bring you more information on what is on offer. Organic jars usually cost only a few pence more than normal brands, and many supermarkets do four jars for the price of three or eight for the price of six offers.

Most brands produce a four-month, seven-month and 12-month range, although one of the companies we tested makes four, six and eight-month jars.

To make sure we were testing like with like, we asked parents of seven-month-olds to test seven-month jars for three ranges and six-month jars for the fourth range.

The brands tested were: Baby Organix, Hipp, Boots Organic and Bio Bambini.
