Sun creams on test

We asked some babyworld mums and dads to try out a range of sun creams, lotions and mousse on their children, so that we can point you towards some best buys for the summer.
The sun creams were tested not just in the UK but also by parents heading for the sun in Majorca, Greece and Lanzarote.
Please remember that babies under six months should not be exposed to direct sunlight and care should be taken even when children become older.
We tested:
- Sunsense Factor 50 Toddler Milk roll-on
- Ambre Solaire Factor 60 for sun intolerant skin
- Proderm Kids Sun Block Mousse Factor 30
- Boots Soltan Factor 50 Sun lotion for babies
- Boots Soltan Baby Aftersun
- Johnsons Suncare Baby 30 Ultra Sun Block lotion/facial cream
Read about each product by clicking on the name above, well tell you what the company says about that product and what our parents thought.
The most highly recommended by the majority was the Proderm mousse, although one mum bucked the trend and hated it. Ambre Solaire was the next most popular, but all brands tested were very high quality and would be ideal for a holiday.
Johnsons and Ambre Solaire are widely available from chemists and supermarkets, Soltan is available at Boots and Proderm is available in a selected range of shops.
