Fresh and fruity shakes (pre-school)
Ingredients
300ml milk or freshly squeezed juice of two oranges
half glass of crushed ice (ice cubes crushed with a rolling pin)
For banana shake: add one sliced banana
For pear shake: add one cored and chopped pear
For berry shake: add handful strawberries, raspberries,
blackberries or blueberries (or a combination)
For peach shake: add one stoned and chopped peach or nectarine
Put milk or orange juice and crushed ice in a blender. Add the
fruit of your choice.
Blend the mixture at high speed until smooth, thick and bubbly.
Pour into glasses and serve immediately

- its a smoothie if you use orange juice and a shake if you use
milk
- best drunk straight away
- good source of vitamin C
- rice, soy or follow-on milks can be used instead of juice or
milk
