The auction will run on eBay from 5 November to 15 November. Funds raised will help the charity to pay for lifesaving equipment for maternity and special care baby units in hospitals across the country, and also fund cutting edge training for specialists in the maternity sector.
Judy Ledger, Chief Executive of Baby Lifeline, set up the charity in 1981 after she lost three premature babies. It is a unique national charity offering loving care and support to pregnant mothers and new born babies all over the UK.
Baby Lifeline has contributed more than £8 million in equipment to Britain's maternity hospitals and services, ranging from digital weighing scales to major pieces of technology such as incubators and scanners. The charity is equally proud of the support it gives to training and education programmes for doctors, midwives and other associated health professionals.
