MIDIRS is an educational charity, which provides an important information source for midwives and was set up in 1985 with the aid of a grant from the Greater London Council. They are now based in Bristol and have grown from a small charity with two staff to a successful self-financing organisation employing 17 people. The work of the organisation is guided by an unpaid executive board.
