We will allow...

the occasional link to your personal website where only your personal content is found, and when it is totally relevant to your posting.
links to charity sites (non-competing)
links to news items
links to any babyworld pages, including your home page, diaries, and birth stories
links to product sites (from the product talk forum only) where a product type is being discussed, and it is in specific and necessary support of that discussion. Advertisements from companies manufacturing or retailing baby products do not fall into this category and are NOT permitted. Such postings (advertisements) will be removed.

We will not allow...

We can no longer permit links to any MSN/Yahoo or similar types of groups. We appreciate that this will seem unfair to some and for this we apologise. This is because they all have the ability to have chat and forum facilities and our experience shows that unscrupulous members choose to abuse our flexibility and use our forums overtly and otherwise to actively encourage members to use a different site. A lot of effort goes into producing babyworld and we hope that you understand that have to protect our interests.

Do not recruit our members to join another website forum or chat group, whether personal or otherwise. Adding a link to a specific personal website that is utterly relevant to both your posting and the forum topic is permitted on infrequent occasions. If you have a suggestion for a new forum, please contact our Forums Manager. If you are approached to join another group/site as a result of your babyworld membership/posts on our forums, please advise us.

We encourage the exchange of information on the forums and adding an appropriate link to your posting links is invited. However, obvious promotion of, or inappropriate links to, other known commercial parenting websites, or any forum or chat groups are not permitted and will be removed . If you are unsure whether a link or posting is allowed, please ask us. We consider an ‘appropriate link’ as one that is utterly relevant to both the posting and the forum topic. We consider a ‘commercial’ site to be one which is funded or supported in any way by a profit making business. 'Any forum or chat group' means anywhere on the web, regardless of topic, please see rule above.
