Showroom Sales

Retail - Part Time Position - Saturdays 9.30am - 5.00pm (potential additional weekdays for the right candidate)

Good rates of pay plus commission on sales.

Babyworld has an immediate vacancy for an enthusiastic salesperson to work in our showroom and provide expert advice to parents making expensive and daunting decisions about what products to buy and when. The ability to demonstrate pushchairs and car seats is paramount.

The right applicant will empathise with new parents trying to choose the right products. You will be delighted to be providing a highly valued service, will be patient, good humoured, honest, authoritative, presentable and punctual. You will need to be able to demonstrate an ability to work with minimal supervision and be responsible for cash handling, processing credit card sales and any other reasonable tasks and duties that may be required.

When not in the showroom sales person will be required to help out with telephone customer service.

Previous knowledge of the nursery industry would be a bonus but not a pre-requisite as full training will be given. More important will be excellent inter personal skills and a willingness to learn new product knowledge quickly.

• Have genuine retail and customer service experience
• Derive real satisfaction from surpassing customers' expectations
• Have a warm and unruffled telephone manner
• Be very organised and of smart appearance
• Be able to empathise with prospective and new parents
• Be internet savvy and familiar with computers and software systems
• Be a quick learner and able to work with minimum supervision
• Be fit and healthy
• Live within commuting distance of Wallingford, Oxfordshire.

Full training will be given.
