| Sascha Taylor
babyworld children's books editor
After working in children's publishing for over a decade, Sascha is committed to using her experience to benefit other parents and carers who feel overwhelmed by the hundreds of books on offer. "If you go into a bookshop, look at a bookclub catalogue, or search on the Internet for a new book for your baby, you often don't know where to start," she says. To make things easy for you, our reviews section has been split into four different categories. Each month, Sascha will choose a small number of books to suit each age band: birth to 6 months, 6 months to 12 months, 12 months to 18 months, and 18 months and over. And there will be a range of books to choose from in each age band. "The intention," says Sascha, "is that parents and carers will be able to go straight to the relevant place, whether they are looking for a low-cost book that can be baby-chewed while out shopping, or a special bedtime book that will send their toddler to sleep." Sascha Taylor has a two-year-old daughter called Amelia, and tries out new books on her, as well as consulting with her children's panel made up of grandparents, parents, children, and babies. |
