Hi, I'm Kelly and I moderate on General Pregnancy, Labour & Birth and Pregnancy Problems forums. I live in Birmingham with my husband Mark and our four children, Rosie (born '99), Oscar (born '01) Jacob (born '03) and Elijah (born '06).

I've had a keen interest in pregnancy and birth since my first pregnancy - some might say too keen as I've now ended up with four children! My first two babies were born following complicated and unpleasant inductions in hospital (I am a serial "42 weeker"), so I went for a different approach third time around and had a relaxed homebirth using aromatherapy. I had a waterbirth at home with my fourth baby in November 2006, only six days late this time and it couldn't have been a more perfect birth so was the ideal experience to complete my days of pregnancy and labour!

I've also suffered problems during our quest for a complete family, including miscarriages and bleeding during pregnancy, so I understand how pregnancy can be a worrying as well as exciting time for many of us.

I chose to stay at home with my children for six years, and am taking a different career path when I return to work in September 2007; I'm training to be a primary school teacher, something that has always interested me.

I've been a member of the Babyworld community for a long time now and have made many friends, so I'm really enjoying giving something back to the community by moderating. I look forward to chatting with you all on the forums, and hearing all about the bumps and births!
