Hi, I'm Lonnie.
I am originally from Denmark but have lived in England since May 1990. I am
married to Nick. We live in Surrey and have 3 beautiful daughter's Phoebe (Feb
98), Eloisa (Jan 00) and Aoife (Nov 03) and a son Conrad (Dec 01).
I have been a Babyworld member from before my pregnancy with Eloisa but became
a active member (some would say very active) during my pregnancy with her and
since then have not been able to get off the site I am addicted.
I am very interested in childbirth and would like to train to become a midwife
once my children are all in school, for the time being I am a trainee breastfeeding
counsellor with the NCT and currently a SAHM and enjoying it.. Until then I
read just about anything I can get a hold in about Childbirth I am particularly
interested in homebirth (having had two and was booked for another one with
Conrad but sadly had to transfer due to prolonged rupture of membranes. So I
had a unplanned hospital birth). So am THRILLED to be moderating homebirth
forum as I get to talk about my complete passion as much as I like ;o)
Another part of my life as mentioned above is the fact that I am a SAHM and
because of this I have frequented the SAHP forum from my early beginnings on
Babyworld. When the last moderator Christine decided to take a break for 3 months
I took over as temporary moderator there and when she decided to leave my temporary
position became permanent and I have been moderating it since May 05.
I co moderate the Discuss Debate and Deliberate forum with Kaye.. I enjoy a good debate so find it a interesting forum to moderate though feelings often run high on there.
Shopping and lunching out is another 2 of my big interests in life and I am always willing to do a stint of both (doesn't take much to talk me into it). Thankfully Phoebe and Eloisa are following in my footsteps and likes lunching and shopping too ;o). (The jury is still out on Aoife's opinion, but Conrad is not keen ;o))
